So, I've reached out to a few of you on lnet to figure out how to plug the holes in my training since I returned a few trainings ago, but I'm still stumped... I have 681 physical points available and I've gotten 2 very different suggestions on how to spend them. One is to 1x both Physical Fitness (which was pretty useless when I left years and years ago) and Perception. With the 681 points I have, I can take my magical skills to 1x, aiming to 2x, PF to 1x and Perception to 29 ranks. Does that make sense or should I raise PF and Perception equally?

The other suggestion was to worry about that stuff later and max spell training for CS. At level 77, my CS is 410 with my current training. I don't seem to have trouble hunting in the Tower, but I'm not sure how I'll fare in OTF with that CS.

Any help would be appreciated... Thanks in advance!

What armor are you wearing? You need 8 ranks to train off all hindrances for double leather.

I think you can get away with 1/2X PT and .66X perception through cap, but they do help a lot with maneuvers and avoiding bandit traps. But 10 ranks of perception is not enough.

I don't think 2.5X spells is necessary. Places where you might want to put extra points is demon lore (for phase/planar shift), MOC (for fire spirit/balefire), and arcane symbols (longer invoke duration, invoke while holding something else, scroll infusion).

As a sorcerer, your main defense against maneuvers is Physical Fitness. This is non-negotiable for me, as soon as I started seeing maneuvers, it was 1x til cap.

I'd do 1x PF, 2x spell aim (if for nothing else FI, if you're not going to bolt) and 1.5x Harness. Then the rest in perception.

Ideally you would be 1x in PF (for maneuvers) and 1x in perception (for various things, but especially important if you want to do guild work). Either do 2x spell aim or none at all. I do 2x in it for FI and FLD, but some people here will tell you to drop it in favor of maxing your CS with Sorc/Elemental spell training. That's a personal choice, as is the decision to use a runestaff vs going brawl/shield.

I'm currently wearing double leathers... I get a 2% hinderance, but i've always just dealt with it. If the fitness helps with maneuvers, then i definitely need that... it's really the only thing that kills me considering my usually makes me untouchable. Thanks for the thoughts.

Yeah, Allereli is right. You should get 8 ranks of armor training for your doubles, which is what you need to train away the maneuver penalty.

That's a personal choice, as is the decision to use a runestaff vs going brawl/shield.

With the changes to runestaves, I don't understand why anyone would continue going brawl/shield. It just seems like a waste of TP to me could be better suited elsewhere.

Going above 1x in HP is a huge expense and not something I recommend until post cap. I'm personally triple cap and I'm only 1.6x in HP right now. That is how much the cost/benefit sucks for over 1x in it.

Spell aiming is far cheaper to double and allows you to use mana extenders like wizard wands.

Definitely do PF over perception if you have to choose, 1x is ideal.

Disarm. That is all.

Just to kinda reiterate some of what's been said about harness power...

Harness Power......................| 179 79

You're getting 2 mana for what, 12 MTPs? It's not much, but I'd drop/catch up to those ranks and keep HP at level unless you're going to at least do 1.5x. Also agree wtih PF over perception.
