Just watched this movie after all the hype my roommate put on it. It's a good movie, but the ending is...abrupt, and leaves me with an empty feeling.

FYI, it's being re-released soon in the theaters. The soundtrack is awesome, but I can't find it for sale, just the score.

I've managed to pin a few of the songs down, but anyone have a list of them all? I couldn't find it on Google.

Very good movie, and very strange. I might have to see it in theatres when it gets rereleased.

Thanks Drew, but that's the score I believe. The two songs I've managed to track down are Killing Moon and Head over Heels.

Love Will Tear Us Apart by Joy Division is on the soundtrack. It's on KaZaA as of a few months ago. Also, it has lyrics.

That Tears for Fears song from the Movie is awesome.

That is all.

well here's your answer

If you are looking for the numerous 80s pop songs that appeared in the movie, look elsewhere. The score sets a wonderful mood, but as all Donnie Darko fans know, many of the highlights of the movie were the 80s classics. Do not buy the score looking for the pop songs. If you'd like to know what the songs were:

- The song played over the slow-mo opening scene where Donnie returns home after waking up on the mountain is 'The Killing Moon' by Echo and the Bunnymen.

- The song played over the slow-mo school montage that begins with the kids stepping off the bus and ending with Donnie's sister performing the 'routine' outdoors is 'Head over Heels' by Tears for Fears.

- The song played during the love scene between Donnie and Gretchen is 'Love Will Tear Us Apart' by Joy Division.

-The song played immediately after the love scene is 'Under the Milky Way' by The Church.

-The song played during the Sparkle Motion scene is 'Notorious' by Duran Duran.

-The song played during the last scene is a cover of Tears for Fears 'Mad World' (both found on this album).

Got that from Amazon, the score is the only release.

The only songs on the Soundtrack with lyrics are the two mad world covers. The rest is just the score, really. If anyone wants it, I got the soundtrack and will email it to ya and whatnot. U2U me.
