Not looking for anything to break the bank, but I'm willing to spend a decent amount of silver for some TWC edged weapons.
Handaxes are good, as are lightened longswords. Doesn't have to be fancy, but interesting would be nice.

Not sure what you consider decent. I have a 7x perfect shortsword w perm mechanical flares if interested.

Since I'm currently just toying around with the TWC system, I'm willing to believe that's worth a whole lot more than I'm willing to pay for any one weapon. I'm not quite sure what I'm looking to spend, but I do want to find some weapons that'll give me a pretty good approximation of how well TWC will work for me.

You should probably toss out your ballpark budget or expected item class. There's a pretty wide range from a 5x flaring shortsword and that 7x perfect with mech flares and that could all be considered in toy range for some folks.

I said I was interested in handaxes and lightened longswords, I thought that was a pretty decent start. Maybe something 5x? I'm not really sure what I'm looking for, exactly. I thought perhaps people would offer up information or advice as well.

The best part of TWC is being able to configure both weapons for the opponent you're targetting. If they've got slower RTs, you can afford to double handaxe up and go for some big whammies. If you prefer mstriking speed, shortsword and dagger mix can do pretty well.
If I were personally testing out TWC, I'd probably rock some store bought 0x weapons of varying bases and just eblade them. If you like the buying/selling aspect and don't mind burning time, you can try for some random 6x flaring weapons that might set you back 2-3 million each.
This is all not even knowing if your character is a rogue, warrior, paladin, ranger, bard or other.

I could offer you a pair of swcw 5x daggers. Fine if you are targetting from the open but probably not for an MoC style hunter. Plus, they'd cost more than 2-3mil for the set. If you were looking for an OHB set, I could better help you out.

I use a flaring kris and a flaring gladius. Works well for me. I have others for blessable and one weighted. Depends on what I need to get done.

Maybe I should just do as someone suggested and play with some ebladed 0x stuff until I find what I like.
