OHE+Shield vs TWC with OHE (DS Question)

Generally speaking, whats the difference in DS in offensive stance going from sword and board with a tower shield and 1X in dodge...... to TWC (2x training) with OHE (2x training) and 1x dodge. will there be a large loss of DS there or is it comparable?

For one, ditching a shield nets you -20 DS (for all shield sizes) and minus whatever enchant that shield was. The amount of shield ranks also matter, but you should expect you DS to be at least 50 less than what it was with a shield. This is just a general calculation however.

You'll also lose the ability to block incoming attacks, without using a shield; however, you do get parry DS with the off-hand weapon when TWC'ing. (And you'll still be able to evade, as well.)

Parry DS still doesn't make up for shield DS. It's always going to be lower. Still, double chance to PARRY with two weapons. Though no spell to boost that like we have for shield BLOCKing.

Thanks for the info guys. I did the calculations earlier today to figure out how much dodge i would need to make up for the DS and all that. OF course i wont get the block advantages right away, but with about a year+ of training ill be able to have exactly what i need for the route i may take.... Using a splitter weapon with the use of TWC AND 2x shield for when i need to switch it up for the situation. I'll need to get my paladin up above 12M exp to be efficient enough to do both on demand. If i go this route ill get enought exp to convert to TWC..then work into being efficient at both.
