Old news by now but:

Kerry chooses John Edwards (Not the one who talks to dead people, the other one) as his running mate.

Discuss.

Who's Kerry?

The one who talks to dead people would have been more fun, but oh well.

Also, it's Bush's birthday. Coincidence?

That's odd, I thought he was born on Christmas.

Its just too bad they cant switch and have Kerry be the VP pick. No matter how great Edwards is people dont vote for VPs unless its a terrible pick. A small part of me was hoping(even though i know it wouldnt happen) that Kerry would choose Ted Kennedy.

He should have made Traci Lords his VP.

If *I* was running for president, she'd definitely be in my cabinet.

Huh-huh-huh.

I like his running mate.

I like that he's not trying to force discrimination into the constitution.

I like that he's not sending jobs overseas.

I like that he has good views on the environment. Bush is there for the $$$$$.

I don't really watch this stuff so I'm probably wrong, but thats what I've heard.

Bush personally carries six thousand jobs overseas weekly.

<John EDWARD is the one who talks to dead people>

That was probably the best episode of South Park I've seen in the last two years. JOHN EDWARD IS A DEUCEBAG.

I have to say, with all the retards it takes to fill up a room and be convinced about things that happen to almost every family, then have that conveyed to them through so-called "psychic," pales significantly in comparison to some shit I watched about these animal psychics. Yes people, animal fucking psychics. What has this world come to?????????

As weird as the whole paper thing was, it was 900 times weirder having Stephen Colbert hosting the Daily Show and almost pretending to take Ralph Nader seriously.

Murdoch owns the New York Post too. It's weird how Fox News kept saying it's Edwards.

Glad its Edwards. This has boosted my support X10. If it were Gephart I'd have given up hope.

The day it was announced, www.kerrypicksedwards.com (http://www.kerrypicksedwards.com/) went live.

"WHO IS JOHN EDWARDS?

A Disingenuous, Unaccomplished Liberal And Friend To Personal Injury Trial Lawyers"

Gotta love those republicans.

edit: Because I didn't give the URLs themselves, the first is a like to georgebush04.com

Those are both wacko websites. The one I pointed to was the RNC. If you feel the RNC should act like those other nutjobs, thats fine, but I'd rather hoped they had higher standards.

From what I hear companies hate edwards because he used to sue them?

Edwards should have been the Democratic nominee instead of Kerry... and I imagine most Democrats will now agree.

Kerry's inability to get his message out has been laughable... especially with the President under the firestorm he's endured.

The only ultra liberal the Democratic ticket is missing now is Kennedy. Maybe they will make him the head of the ATF.

I don't know much about Edwards.. but he's made all his money on multi-million dollar settlements.

Did you know, that the "Kerry & Edwards" Ticket are worth more $$$ than the "Bush & Cheney" ticket?

LOL! That was too funny.

Edwards looks a little put off by Kerry's affection in most of the recent photo-ops. After the King interview, I'm wondering if his svelt wife didn't have a hand in the pick.

OMG!!!

Absolutely Hilarious... !!

It does seem at times that Kerry is a lot more "friendly" with John than he is with his own wife...

Or maybe this is some sort of subliminal attempt to get the "gay vote" (nevermind that Bush isn't going to get it with the anti-gay-marriage policy) :smug:

Heh, finding news reports all over the place remarking on the Kerry/Edwards affection.

"I'm a receiver," Edwards said (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A41452-2004Jul10.html)

There is also a rumor going around that they'll be mud wrestling on 60 Minutes tonight.

07-11-2004, 11:29 PM
Damn I mean you can go for the gay vote... and you can really go for the gay vote...

It must be their way for making up for their opposition to same sex marriage:grins:
