Anyone know the rule with regard to the potential change of noun when altering an item? Is it possible?
I have a parka which i now want to be a cloak. Analyse doesn't raise any restrictions.
I appreciate a ring can't be a claid and and shoe can't be a doll. But just wandering if restrictions would be on a case by case/item by item basis or blanket.
{going to do an assist - but just thought i'd throw the question out there}

It always depends who is doing it (most likely that's all you'll hear from an assist) but they'd probably oblige. I got a vest changed into a tabard. As long as it's similar, you should be fine.

Parka into cloak should be acceptable unless it is specially scripted in some way.
If the change makes sense according to the a) current base, b) material, c) slot worn, then generally it should be OK.

Thanks - the parka is scripted. But the scripts can apply in totality to a cloak, cape or similar item. Thanks - will chance my arm and hope for a sympathetic and common sense ear.

These parkas are Wyrom weather-changing scripted gear. So far I've seen these altered into coats, jackets, cloaks and capes. So you should be fine. =)
