You better throw down alot of money, because those are going to be shitty odds. Hasn't he won the last few years?

That and every other eating contest since then...

Glutton Bowl is actually the only other eating contest I've sat and watched. It was also my last. I still remember watching them eating bowls of mayonnaise.

I think he broke his own record (World Record) by eating 53 hotdogs and buns. The little 100lbs woman ate 30 something and broke her own (the woman's record) and came in 3rd place.

I can only imagine the pain he is going to experience in 12-24 hours.

Is that the guy that went on "Man vs. Beast" and tried a hot dog eating contest with the grizzly bear?

Heh, what's Man v. Beast?

If it was a skinny Japanese dude that's like mid twenties, it's probably the same guy.

Yeah that's him then. Man vs. Beast was on like twice. It had like the hot dog eating contest where the grizzly bear smoked the guy. They had a little monkey have a tug of war with a sumo wrestler which the little monkey absolutely destroyed the fat sumo guy..... Basically it was humans against animals in compititions.

... and people wonder why America is getting obsese...

50-hotdogs-eating-man = athlete? :?:

The guy's like 140 lbs or something, he's not morbidly obese (though a lot of the favorites to win eating contests are).

There was this big black guy on the Glutton Bowl who ate like...38 boiled eggs or something in 5 minutes. That's like how much I eat in a half year.

It was funny to watch that little Asian guy absolutely whoop the Fridge's ass in the last hot dog eating contest.

Fridge ate like 5 dogs and had to stop

Anyway, I think Kobiyashi has some sort of special hotdog eating power, because, seriously, there's no fucking way someone can cause their body to constantly undergo rigorous peristalisis like he does. I think he's an alien. OK.

Yea, maybe they are not fat...

But "fans" or people who try to mimick... may end up more obsese trying to do the same?

People who try to mimic linemen, Shaq, or sumo wrestlers are any different?

It's always cool when the little guy wins.

It's even cooler that that tiny woman came in 3rd place. That's one amazing stomach.

There was a resturant in Spokane (about 1.5 hour drive from here) called Thattus T Thudpuckers. It was extreamly famous for its Chicken Fried Steaks. Many many awards and such.

Well, this place had a challenge meal. it was $30 to order the meal. If you finished it, you won $5000.

The meal consisted of the following :

a 2lb Chicken fried steak
a loaf of fresh baked bread
a large bowl of green beans
a large bowl of mashed potatos and gravy
all the soda you wanted
and half a mud pie.

In all the years that I knew of this place, about 30 or so people atempted this meal. Only one ever finished it. A woman who weighted all of MAYBE 110 lbs soaking wet finished the meal.

There are a few rules with the meal as well. A worker sits across the isle from you. Your not allowed to leave the table during the meal..and you must finish in under 2 hours.

She finished the meal in 23 min. Amazing frickin lady.

If it weren't for the greens I'd say that's doable...

My sophomore year in high school a bunch of us on the wrestling team went to Fuddrucker's for their two lb challenge. Two one-pound burgers on huge ass buns, harder than it sounds. Only one guy didn't finish in under 30 mins.

The buns kill you.

I don't think I could do the half a mud pie. I don't like pies for one..and two thats a LOT of sweet to choke down.
