You can tell that the kit is as light as it can get and that its pockets could not possibly get any deeper.
Zested differently for weapons, regular items, and gambling paraphenalia:

You discreetly stow the vultite utility knife into a secret compartment inside the rosewood kit.

You tuck the promissory note into a narrow slot inside the rosewood kit.
>put rod in my kit
You plop the thick ironwood rod into a large compartment inside the rosewood kit.

You toss the small fishbone dice into a small compartment inside the rosewood kit.
You can PULL/PUSH it to conceal weaponry or reveal it, as well:
