a ruby-inset steel box

>look box

The ornate box is small enough to hold in one hand. It is hinged on one side and has a ruby-inset image engraved on the lid. The image appears well worn as if it has been rubbed many times.

Speaking to you, Droughtman says, "Creates imbeddables from silver, golden, metal, and iron wands. One use every 8 hours."

In case anyone wants to see what it turns the items into:

You put an iron wand in your steel box.
You close a ruby-inset steel box.
As you rub the box it pulsates rapidly, emitting a blinding light!
You wait for the flashing to stop...
Roundtime: 10 sec.
You open a ruby-inset steel box.
A rounded groove cuts through the center of the box from end to end. In the middle of the open box is a ruby-inset recess.
In the steel box you see a ruby-inset iron amulet.
You remove a ruby-inset iron amulet from in your steel box.

Is there any thing that determines how much mana an item holds that comes from it? Will it always be average amount/great amount etc.... or will it be a random amount it can hold?

Unfortunately I couldn't find any information on these things. I'll make a couple more items while I"m selling this and see if I can put something together.

The amount of mana the amulet will hold is directly related to the type of wand you put in.

And 3,000,000.

Going twice.

Heres what I know now.

Metal wand = 30 mana amulet
iron wand = 20 mana amulet

I tried a silver wand on a different character but it blew up the wand.

If it is like the box I got at an auction several years ago, then it makes amulets that hold mana as follows:

Iron......20
Silver....25
Metal....30
Gold.....40

The amulet holds the same amount of mana regardless of the charges left in the wand, so the smart thing is to use up the charges before making an amulet.

It does not work on duped wands. I'm not sure about charged wands.

Ninety percent of the amulets are not reimbeddible. There is a 10% chance that the box will make a special amulet that is reimbeddable with grot. A reimbeddable amulet holds 40 mana, regardless of the type of wand used to make it. When it makes a reimbeddable amulet, there is an extra line of text immediately following the roundtime.

As you rub the box it pulsates rapidly, emitting a blinding light!

You wait for the flashing to stop...

Roundtime: 10 sec.
The haon box heats up rapidly and emits a shower of white sparks. The heat subsides as quickly as it came.

Again, that's all assuming that it works the same as mine.
