The link has the video from the security camera at the laundromat.

Copied for easy reading:

A surveillance camera at a laundromat captures a frightening incident on video. WARNING: VIDEO BELOW IS DISTURBING.

A couple put their toddler in a washing machine, presumably to scare him. But then they turned the washing machine on. Unfortunately, the machine had an auto-lock system and trapped the toddler insider while the washer starts to run.

The child tumbled helplessly in the machine while water was pouring in. The video clearly shows the parents trying to open the locked door and then searching for help.

Eventually an attendant was able to open the machine — and get the child out.

The child suffered only minor injuries — and is safe.

I predict a life-long aversion to laundry. And terror in the detergent aisle.

Putting your black kid in the washing machine will not turn him white, no matter how much Tide you use.

Probably, it worked for Sammy Sosa.

That attendant was like a super hero. He ran over there, flung those two tables away like they were feathers then turned the machine off.

Also what's this "couple" shit? Looks like the father took it upon himself to do this stupid thing.

Something worked for Michael Jackson and it wasn't some damn vitiligo.

Sorta seems like one of those "automatically on" machines once you shut the door. The dad stepped away to look at his kid being "WTF!" and then it started going.

In the meantime, were we not regularly advised, particularly as kids, (as a public service warning thing), to not "play" inside a laundry machine or refrigerator, etc?

Probably to prevent incidents just as this one...

Not sure what that Hispanic-looking guy was trying to do other than half-heartedly call for attention.

First thing I thought of when watching was jumping behind the machine and disconnecting the power to it.
