So... looks like they're going to keep this going for a while. I have two tickets to this next run on Memorial Day, but with the watered-down prize pool, I won't be buying any more tickets, I don't think.
How many more months will they sell out these runs, I wonder?

Initially they intended to do a run every few months. I think right now they are going to milk it for all it's worth though, then eventually you'll see a tapering of it once everyone grows tired of the prizes...Maybe once every 2-3 months?
Then again who knows, maybe they'll run it every month, and continue to suck money from people :P

With them putting such heavy restrictions on ticket sales. I doubt it will sell out fast. Maybe not sell out at first at all.
Can't buy a ticket if went on first OR second run? that's stupid. Tickets on sale for an hour already and maybe 6 sold.
It should be if you went on the previous run, not both previous runs.

With the restrictions in place to prevent people from running multiple times I kinda see the back to back runs of a way of spreading the wealth. If the runs were only every 4-6 months I'd be a bit irked to be restricted from buying a ticket. But once a run doesn't sell out I imagine they'll tone it down and bring us a festival instead.

They had what appeared as two pay events listed.. both sounded more Rp/Merchant then huge amounts of items.

Gotta pay for that new co-lo!
I did the April run so I couldn't buy one right away. I saw a May ticket open up a couple days ago, tried to buy it and got the "you've already purchased the maximum number of tickets" message. I did all kinds of monkeying around with cookies, cache, signing in and out, etc and couldn't buy it. The ticket went sold a few hours later.
I sent a message to feedback the instant I had the problem and posted on the forums after the ticket went sold. Still have yet to hear anything in either place.
Anyway, just letting you guys who have done a run know that even if you should be able to buy a ticket, maybe you won't be able to anyway.

did they ever post the prize list for the one next week?

Not yet. They want to sell as many June tickets as they can before revealing that the new prize pool is 33% unlimited crystal amulets, 33% feras weapons, 32% H4H chests, and 1 forehead gem.

I went on the first set of runs earlier this year... and I don't even remember what the prize I got was.
I'm sure I could look it up as it's probably preserved here on the PC, but that just goes to show how underwhelming the prizes generally are... either that or how bad my memory is.
In either case, I'm signed up for several more underwhelming prizes over the next month. I can hardly wait...

The better way to get them to tweak the prizes upward is to stop signing up.

:yeahthat:
And make sure to post on the officials that the REASON you're not signing up is that the prizes got a touch too watered-down, and the novelty has worn off enough to where it's not worth it in your opinion.

I've never done a Dm, but signed up for one. Do you get exp while this is going on? Because crap prizes and spending 2 hours with no xp would not be cool. At least fi you get exp you have an experience (as long as you are getting some coin lol) no experience and crap prizes would be lame. If that is the case I would rather grind nelemar.

No XP earned, to my knowledge. Generally you get some coin, and a chance at a half-decent prize. I think most prizes have sold for 3m or more, with a few notable exceptions.

The real prize is for winning your round. That prize and the grand prize are excellent prizes.

Quick! Go buy June Run Tickets!!!
That being said... I agree. Nice looking list. Hopefully I do a little better than last time.
Only three gowns? A mithril claidh? FGB? A fel hafter? Adamantine? Zelnorn? Coraesine? Kroderine? Rapture Cloak? MULTIPLE sets of plate mail? Who made this damn list anyway??

Yep, looks a lot better. Maybe they took your advice and ramped up the May prize list to sell out June sales... In reality, they'll have to keep getting better to keep ticket sales up.
...rapture cloak... mmmm

It's not super impressive.
Other than the epeen factor of combining the words chaos+maul, I guess.

So... looks like they're going to keep this going for a while. I have two tickets to this next run on Memorial Day, but with the watered-down prize pool, I won't be buying any more tickets, I don't think.
How many more months will they sell out these runs, I wonder?
I've avoided buying more tickets recently, choosing to concentrate on the occasional heckle and seemingly fruitless wooing of Droughtman. However if the runs continue beyond June, I will attempt to acquire another ticket. Who knows. I may end up with a whole wardrobe of gowns. :tumble: (Please god no!)
Lets face it. These events could be run between now and Christmas and they'll always sell out... Personally, I'm hoping for a little gap between events though... I don't want these events to become run of the mill, like a trip to the bank or a walk to Icemule.

ehh, I'm mixed... while I'd rather not see it become an every month occurrence, at least they're doing something. Even if it is a big money grab, gives people a chance to get a decent item they wouldn't really been able to get otherwise. Plus, running the maze is fun.

That, I can't deny Kron. On a purely ancilliary note, the verbal interplay regarding the matter of matrimony with Droughtman (or the man/woman behind Droughtman on any given day) has been quite funny.
Seems like i'll have to settle for social intercourse as - to inaccurately paraphrase the Borg * - "persistance is futile"
* Star Trek - C'mon now! Did I really need to explain that one? :D

Negatory... and to be honest I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't release the list early. They're not actively trying to sell tickets to another run at this point (the way they were last time).
