polearm bard?

I'm trying to help a friend fixskills over to a polearm bard before the new fixskills arrives. Below is what I've come up with (she won't give up the manipulation, trading, or MIU). Any suggestions?

I'm not nearly as experienced as most of the folks around here but some things that I can pick out that scream at me.

Drop armor to 60 ranks. Worry about going to 90 to minimize MnE hinderance -much- later

Switch EMC to MMC. MMC is actually used by some bard skills, including 1113 (Song of Unraveling)

Drop 1 rank of HP. It only gives 3 mana up to level, that extra rank is only giving 1 mana.

Once you dump the polearm skill and CM training, you will find you have a significant amount of points to use. Consider being fully 1.5x in spells, 1x bardsongs and .5x MnE. The armor suggestion is fine, so long as you plan to go to 90 eventually. There is little reason not to. I'd drop the dodge and go for a minimum of 1.5x shield 1x brawl. If you prefer go 2x brawl and 1x shield. I'm currently going with 2x brawl and 1.5x shield.

You might find you have points left over, focus them on gaining more manip lore and probably MoC.
