Ayup. Just set your skill goals to remove all your CM training, execute fixskills, contemplate your navel for ~10 minutes or so until your CM INFO comes up blank, then re-learn the CM Skill ranks and you're all set.

You can also reset your armor skills by setting armor skill to zero. Whenever I fixskill I just set everything down to zero for a clean slate.

:yeahthat:

Best way to do it, as it greatly reduces the chances of forgetting something. Also, since we're dispensing advice... write it all down first. Or use a spreadsheet, or spraypaint it on your carpet. Whatever it takes to eliminate the chances of forgetting to train in Physical Fitness or Perception or something.

I once forgot to pick up swimming and thankfully left the points alone. So my first hunt out with my new build I couldn't make the swim. That would have sucked bad if I had spent the points.

Thread hijack! I couldn't bring myself to create a new topic that would have the same title as this one.

I am a newly returned player on a trial account who hasn't used fixskill before. How does the annual one work? Is 5/20 a deadline, as in, you have to use your fixskill by then? Or once you get it on 5/20, can you use it whenever you want?

I think I am extra confused because my first 30 days are winding down around the same time as the annual fixskills are coming up. But, as a warmage who will eventually want to go pure, I'd like to stick as warmage a little longer if I can, because I imagine going pure would still be a pain in the butt at level 13.

You can only have 1 fixskill on your account at a time. During your first 30 days of play you can change your skills at will without using the fixskill.

So just play to your 29th day and then on the 30th day put your skills how you want. Then use your fixskill in a year.

When I type "skills" I see that I'm getting my annual Fixskills on 5/20. So is that something I could use after my first 30 days are over whenever I want?

Yes for one year. Then you get a new fixskill. But you can only have one on the account.

Cool, conversion to pure mage is postponed then! Thanks for the info.
