as it appears a handful of people from shattered are going to be playing diablo 3, i figured i'd post up a thread and see if people wanted to group up, so far i think myself, godsatan, tenlaar are going to play together, anyone else wants to join up thats cool too, i have not logged on yet but i assume we will need to trade like names/game tags or whatever they use so feel free to PM me yours or just post in this thread

should be easier to group up, share artisans or whatever, equipment and all that stuff

Act II is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo long.

I'm using kind of a melee-strong/defensive build for my mage:

nova, force wave, diamond skin, explosive blast, with evocation and blur passive, at level 24.

Can't wait for archon either.

Nova into explosive blast into force wave = win.

Need nightmare mode plox. I suppose I'm going to switch to a more kite-oriented build then, because even now I sometimes get wrecked if I miss a crucial diamond skin.

Witch doctor is awesome. Got 4 dogs and garg for pets. I had been using the zombie charger, which is awesome, but changed it recently in favor of acid cloud with 2x radius rune. Been running up to groups, hitting locust swarm (rune makes it jump to 2 targets when an infected target dies), dropping acid (see wat I did thar?), and tossing some firebombs while mana regens. It's pretty fun watching the numbers pop up and spread behind walls and shit when locust swarm starts infecting everything.

I tried the witch doctor during beta but couldn't get past the stupid blow gun and spider jars. I miss my necromancer, so much cooler.

Beat the boss man last night, Act IV was sadly a bit short but still fun. Time for Nightmare, or maybe Monk/Barbarian.

Blizzard gave everyone a BattleTag reset. If you're like me and tried to change it around only to realize it was permanent, you can rejoice.

I wasn't a fan of the spider jars when I played beta, either. In fact, I was just thinking last night that a lot of the spells that sounded lame from the spell description have turned out to be pretty cool. Dunno how much the spider jars changed from early beta to release, but they actually come in pretty handy at times. I like that any time I smashed something with them, there would be four spiders waiting to rape anything that jumped out to get me. Also fun to get a frenzy shrine and toss a bunch of jars to get a pile of spiders up and pull a big pack of mobs into them.

From my understanding, Blizzard has their servers populating every instance of solo and group play, and a large portion of the actual game is sitting locked on their side.

I'm sure someone will come up with something eventually? Kids are smart these days right?

Monster AI is server side.. kind of puts a dent in any cracked server idea.
