What kinda weapon you wanna be swinging?

Claids and Lances, TWC with axes or falc...I'd go with faster races than Giant.

Maul, maybe a giant. Also depends on if you want that logic hit and how much HP you think you need.

two handers...probably claid or maul......
between giant dwarf and halfkrol what are the strengths and weaknesses?
is the logic - on halfkrol really that terrible?

I really am enjoying my halfling warrior, but I think I would choose Dwarf.

RP aside dwarves seem to be mechanically the best

I would go dwarf as well. Especially for Sunfist, which makes the most sense IMO. Stam Regen on them is ridiculous

Halflings have a lot of good things about them. But if you want to join GoS and just smash things, dwarf is probably the way to go.

Don't play for mechanics. Play because you like playing the race.

I'm not sure if I'd like -10 logic bonus

Race is probably not that important for warriors compared to most other professions. Even if you choose CoL you probably won't need to worry about spirit regen much, and +/- 30 AS is not really game changing.

If you've been playing characters with decent logic, switching to a half krolvin will probably be pretty painful if you like to watch your absorption numbers.

My main character is a burghal gnome warrior, and I've tried making various half krolvin characters over the years, but the logic just depresses me. They really have great stats other than that, but you're looking at 5 less exp per pulse on a node when compared to a gnome.

I've always thought half krol was the best race mechanically, but I don't always have exp in my head so the logic penalty doesn't really bother me.

I loved my halfling warrior. Just the concept of a tiny, massively reduxed, big weapon wielding or two small weapons coming at you fast, was what I loved about it.

I agree, don't play for the stats, play for what excites your imagination - it's a text game and frankly min/maxing ruins it IMO.

SPARTAN RACE

Haruh! Haruh! Haruh!
:D

If we're talking physicality then dwarf and giantman. BUT, other than that, think of a backstory for your character and pick any race that matches that backstory. I always wondered what a gnome warrior would be like. :D

It's pretty hard to pick a wrong race these days, especially for paladins and warriors.

I've recently been thinking of what race/profession combos are the best. Generally speaking, I look at what race has the WORST stat bonuses for the profession chosen, and understand that the hidden racial penalties/bonuses usually offset that. Dwarf sorcerer, Sam's Burghal Gnome warrior, ect. Early goings are hard, end-game is amazing.

If I was going to pick a short race for warrior I'd pick a halfling, a bit less maneuver defense then a b-gnome with extra elemental and sorc TD, they also have slightly better dex. That +30 AS difference between a halfling and a giantman is quite noticeable, however, for most things at cap you don't need a huge AS to kill them either. In Nelemar I often walk around with a 528 killing things, I only bother to increase it further when I am hunting GWE and sentries, or just when I feel like it. Hunting plane four of the rift about the same thing, in the scatter you definitely want as much AS as you can get though. I've been back to hunting OTF lately and find myself pushing my AS up there just because WoF is annoying and it is easier to cut through it then bother knocking things down and giving them an extra chance to fade.
