As far as intentionally cursing... well perhaps he didn't curse it directly, but the intent was still there, it appeared he either placed the cursed item on the bench in order to directly illicit a response or... knowing full well that the item would cause the innocent bystander to drop the gear, he still intentionally reached into the mantle and took an item from it... it all shows intent... and it all can be construed as intentional malfeasence(sp) and thus could be, and I reiterate COULD BE, interpreted by the GM's as an intentional act that COULD or MIGHT warrent a disceplinary sanction depending on his record.

Too bad I a) Didn't curse the socks and b) Did not 'place' them anywhere. I dropped them after they were given to me by Aone and Fizzan took it upon himself to curse them. I didn't tell Kataleena to pick them up nor did I even acknowledge their presence from then on.

I took the die out of the mantle because I don't like her and because the mantle sat there long enough for me to look in it, read through all the contents, then arbitrarily pull something out. It's not my fault she sucks at picking things up and wearing them quickly.

She had every opportunity to RP it out, try and get them back, etc. She chose to swing, I chose to retaliate. Omens got his stupid ass involved, the end.

The runestaff was a gift from Anticor. I'm not really losing anything because I have a spare anyway, but I'm sure he doesn't like the fact that Teeonslut ran off with it.

She won't have it for long, however.

Kataleena did try and contact him to see if he wanted his staff back and he decided to laugh at her and ignore her.

Kataleena has no use for a runestaff nor does she want it. She did not ask Omens to curse him at all. However she was happy to see that she wasn't the only one that thought what Tayr did was unfair.

Earlyer when Kataleena was accused of being a "vulture", she was pretty much only confused. She did not realize the girl had died only that for some reason she was being attacked in the dais. Kataleena did her fastest to save the girl but of course, it had been too late. Kataleena is known to be in the dais when boxes have gone off and have stayed in the middle of a cloud healing those who have fallen asleep to keep them alive even though herself is in danger of dying. There have also been times where she has kept people alive from Scarabs attacking on the dais. When Kataleena realized the girl was already dead and demanded to know why Tayre had killed her, she then dropped the matter because she knew that it was her own fault for being confused and probably deserved to die.

Again, Kataleena does not want the runestaff. When she was offered it she took it in hopes to trade it to get her dice back. Tayre did not curse the socks... and so he had rights to what was on the ground. Kataleena did not curse him, so technically she should have rights to what is on the ground as well. If, that is how he wants to look at it. If you look at Kataleena's outfit, you would see the socks would match great. That is only reason she picked them up, she thought they were pretty.

If he intends to go to the gods now and tell a story how Kataleena stole his staff and wont give it back, then I think he is only wanting attention. If he goes after Kataleena, killing her every chance he gets, well then I say it again, he is only wanting attention. Becaue the fact is, Kataleena is more then willing to give the Staff back. A room full of people (the dais) were witness to that.

Having your gear taken is not a light thing. It is also not a very pleasent thing and Kataleena would hate to be a part of that. She would like her dice back... they were a present to her from an old friend that had left the lands. But her idea failed... he will not trade, he wont even accept. But has no problem giving it back.

Kataleena will be on tomorrow if you would like to get your rune staff back or if you would like to kill her then that is fine too. She has lots of deeds and will sit there quietly until you have gotten your anger out of your system.

I am sorry for the misunderstanding and the bad luck of the evening.

I hope this post does not stirr up a lot of people. I only want it made known to Tayre's Player that he is welcome to Tayre's staff. I do not know any other means to do so. I would also like to give credit to Tayre's player for RPing a little. He did excellent at the start but then failed to impress me. Perhaps he was having a bad night though.

Teeoncy had stood up for a younger person earlyer as well so it isn't out of character for her to do so. But yes it was wrong, and will not happen again.

Omens cast curse, the item was dropped, that kind of drop is not a willful act of the person being cast at, regardless of who picks it up they are guilty of abusing mechanics regardless of who cast.

If Omens cast and then Tayre typed drop rune, that's a different story. The runestaff would be on the ground as a direct fault of Tayre.

Targeted curse + picking up dropped items = wrong

The dice should be returned but not until the runestaff is returned. Dice = 5k, runestaff alot more than that.

Uh, Klaser vultures all the time. Sometime I wonder if he's afk script healing on the dais. My little mage died a week ago, his hunting partner fogged him in, happened to land on the dais. Within 15 seconds, without a word before, during, or after, Klaser transfered the 4 or 5 wounds and all his blood without even a whisper to me. I wasn't in the mood to pick a fight, as the hobbit mage is only 25 trains, but I'd call that vulturing.

I am not a scripter, nor was I ever a scripter. However, could a script not be made that would APPRAISE a new arrival in the room and react to any wounds on that character? I am assuming the messaging still announces the arrivals and departures of characters within a room, and does so by name. Now, such a script would have to run independent of action if it was to be used while AFK, so one would have to beat the timer...but, still...a running script could look at each character entering the room, could it not?

Seems like it could be done, although it might be pretty difficult.
