So, I don't normally do CvC but Serescion in Solhaven had been trying to get me to duel for a while. Finally, I caught him stealing a white crystal from me and I tried tattling to the law but they wouldnt listen. After more silly taunting I decided to go for it. I could tell he would keep griefing me until he got a duel.

On the way to the dueling place, I rubbed a blue crystal and hoped we would start right off the bat, and we did. So he had no idea I rubbed it. I figured he would ambush and get a pushdown right off the bat. I was just going to let him do it and then splat him.

Selchar counted down.

You say, "You can keep the crystal ya filthy animal."

Fifteen minutes later he was razzing me on the Solhaven amunet about not having honor since I used a blue crystal. I challenged him to a duel with plain armor, plain weapons, we'd both be dispelled, and no ambushing. He got quiet after that.

For a weighted twohander, that greataxe sucks.

Wish I'd known you were bad-mouthing me over here, else I'd've come stuck up for myself.

You won, you used a blue crystal, big deal. As for getting quiet, I recall very specifically a long conversion regarding duelling against rogues, and why would a rogue not ambush when he's not trained to stand in the open like a warrior.

If you're going to sass-mouth someone, do it truthfully so it's more entertaining.

-Serescion, fueling old grudges.

Why no ambushing...? If you trained for it, it's totally fair to use it, unlike all those spells.

So he can't use ambushing, which is a skill he has. But it's ok for you to use a blue crystal? Doesn't make sense. I'll tell ya what. I'll duel you. You can't use guild skills and I won't use bolts. That sound fair?

Jonty and Anticor, you two are too damned entertaining. Let me know if Wilvar accepts the duel, I wanna watch this!

I didn't lie at all. No reason to. At the time you were griefing me I was more than a few levels below you.

The reason I said no ambush is because the pushdown made it uneven.

If you want, you can get a rematch with all the ambush you want now that I've caught up to you in levels.

If you want, this time _before_ the duel you can specify no blue crystals instead of waiting til afterwards to whine lile a little bitch.

Hows that for talking sassmouth there slick?

OMG IM COOL I DIG UP THREADS.

Also, blue crystals are quite open to be used honorably in a duel, unless specified otherwise.

If you don't know the spell then don't use it or wear it in an honorable duel. If you're just going for the kill then by all means. Duels have rules. Fights don't.

Most duels are considered to be imbed free and self cast unless otherwise specified... Fights however.. well I guess anything goes.

I feel no guilt whatsoever on using a blue crystal against an older player who had a blue crystal's worth or more of DS spells that weren't self-cast. Check out the first post in the thread.

I see like 35 DS worth of non self cast spells depending on his ability (assuming he is a rogue) to cast spells. My rogue is 28 and can cast 401 and 406.
