The lesser minotaur stomps his hooves in the dirt, lowers his head, and charges in your direction! You leap to the side...wait 2 seconds.
but stumble, failing to get out of the way, and are crushed under the full brunt of the minotaur!
... 60 points of damage!
Blow to your chest frees rib to spear a lung and heart!
You are stunned for 10 rounds!
Roundtime: 20 sec.

Level 59, 120 ranks of PT, 91 ranks of CM.

Anything I can do to increase my changes of dodging that? Ranger mobiles possibly? How about training in CM charge or cunning defense?

Well, it is 15 levels higher than you.

CDef wouldn't help because that only effects CMLs, which minotaur charge is not.

Mobiles would probably help more, or just plain dodge ranks. Ausek never had a problem with the charges, and even when he was sub-level he was dodging them more often than not, but that was when he was 2x dodge. Now he's only 1x, and is a few levels under them but has only been hit by one charge in......a long time. 2x CM, 1x dodge, tier 3 armored evasion in MBP.

Dodge ranks won't help. How's your perception? That's another SMR defense skill.

But yeah, with a 15 level difference, I don't know that you'll be able to train it off for now. Try getting some crush protection on your armor.

Perception is pretty low, only at 20. I'll try to get that up a little bit and get some crush protection.

Minotaur charge is just a super annoying manuever to begin with anyway. If they didn't have that they'd be super easy.

I recall getting death critted on my level 75 warrior from one of those. I was usually able to dodge them, but there is always that chance.

I'm in metal breastplate right now but I think I can finagle my skills (on the 20th) to get into full plate. Would that help me any? Also, would I be better off with damage or crit padding?

Crit padding would be better. I think full plate would hurt you as far as dodging the maneuvers, I don't think it actually protects any better than MBP if you get hit.

Even with 2x CM, 1x perception, 2x+ PT you'll still get hit occasionally by them when you're the same level. Until then, the hits are going to be a lot harder so level up :P
