Know another myth? I still need to test it.. about 5 months ago Dessedemona took Refrain and Constal hunting together.. and swung a sonic warlance at cinder wasp nests and was killing them instantly.. and told me that Refrain wouldn't die if he swings his sonic warlance at it.. Refrain did and died... Still haven't checked to see if now Refrain is 96 if swinging a sonic warlance at these nests will result in 0 deaths the same way Dessedemona smashed 10 of them. I don't want to test.. some high level bard do it!

Dessedemona was just lucky. I used to think if you waited until they got quiet you could kill them with impunity, but nope!

The only way i've seen to kill those things safely is with a animate. Can you have Animal companions or Singing Sword attack those things?

Yeah but are they completely fool proof? I thought my plan was fool proof too, got to around 12 of them before I was killed.

If you can kill the nest in one shot every time without fail, you won't die. I used my cleric for it, it worked without fail.
