This is all over the radio in my area now. Here's the only information (besides TMZ) that I could find.

Reports are he committed seauside by shooting himself in the chest.
NFL can't be happy his brain (or what's left of it) is still in tact.

I can't say that I didn't, really. The guy has had some major issues.

Anyone have him in their deathpool?

Probably should have, since it looks like he drove his car off a cliff earlier in an "accident." Sounds like he had some ongoing issues in his life somewhere.

Yeah all jokes aside its pretty damn sad. You think guys like that are on top of the world. One of the best linebackers of all time and a guy who made millions couldn't stand the thought of living any more. Crazy.

One of the best linebackers of all time and a guy who made millions couldn't stand the thought of living any more. Crazy.Losing your mind is pretty terrifying. Consider the middle part where you've lost significant cognitive function but are still aware enough to realize it... can you even imagine anything worse happening to you?
Here is what I thought the most shocking part of the article was:
"Seau is the 8th member of the 1994 San Diego Chargers team to die before the age of 45 ... joining linebacker David Griggs, running back Rodney Culver, linebacker Doug Miller, center Curtis Whitley, defensive end Chris Mims, defensive tackle Shawn Lee and linebacker Lew Bush."

There's no "starting over" after irreversible brain damage.

Makes you wonder if he tried to kill himself when he drove off the cliff

I got diagnosed with TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) from being in a handful of IED attacks in Iraq, and I can definitely vouch for this statement. I'm sure that I am no where near the amount of a professional football player, but I am without a doubt not the same person I was before I joined.
Overall sad story, even sadder when I saw his mother completely losing it on live television.

Man. What kind of voodoo black magic shit did they get into?
Couldn't just be concussions and cocaine, could it?!

This seemed a bit fishy to me. Until it's confirmed a suicide, I'll have my doubts, as the Sheriff should. I thought it odd that they decided to begin the investigation assuming suicide. I thought SOP was assume homicide until proven otherwise, so this seems backwards. Sad, either way.
I think they can test for GSR on the hands pretty quickly these days.

Man. What kind of voodoo black magic shit did they get into?
Couldn't just be concussions and cocaine, could it?!Well, let's look them up! That will be a fun and not at all depressing exercise...
David Griggs - single car accident, and although he was only 28, looking back who knows if it actually was
Rodney Culver - commercial plane crash
Doug Miller - struck by lightning (twice!!)
Curtis Whitley - possible drug overdose (39 years old)
Chris Mims - morbid obesity (38 years old)
Shawn Lee - heart attack brought on by double pneumonia (44 years old)
Lew Bush - heart attack (42 years old)
Junior Seau - suicide (43 years old)
Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be football players.
Ban all footballs and guns. War on lightning and hearts!
