Here's what I have so far.

NORMAL: As you slide your handaxe into your scabbard, it makes a loud *THUNK*.

FIRE: You hear a slight sizzling sound as you slide your knife into your scabbard.

LIGHTNING: You hear a slight crackling sound as you slide your mace into your sheath.

ICE: You hear a slight hissing sound as you slide your hammer into your sheath.

ACID: You hear a slight sizzling sound as you slide your knife into your scabbard.

STEAM: A puff of steam hisses from the mouth of your sheath as you slide your broadsword into it.

VACUUM: A faint rushing of air hisses out of your sheath as you slide your warblade into it.

PLASMA: A ribbon of blue-white energy sparks from your star to the sheath as they collide while you are sheathing the star.

IMPACT: You hear a slight buzzing sound as you slide your katar into your sheath.

DISINTEGRATION: A faint cracking noise emanates from the mouth of your sheath as you slide your arrow into it.

DISRUPTION: A faint series of popping sounds echoes from the sheath as you slide your runestaff into it.

UNBALANCE: The bleached bone sheath bounces around violently for a moment.

DAMAGE: You slide your doloire into your scabbard with a solid *THUD*.

CRIT: You slide your claidhmore into your scabbard with a satisfying *SWOOSH*

BLESSED: As you slide your axe into your sheath, the sheath glows with a pale white light, which fades slowly.

HOLY WATER: As you slide your arrow into your sheath, the sheath glows with an intense white light, which fades slowly.

ACUITY: Nothing (registers as an unflared weapon, i.e. THUNK)

MANA: Nothing (registers as an unflared weapon, i.e. THUNK)

KRODERINE: A spray of chromatic sparks fly from the mouth of your scabbard as you slide your star into it.

As you can see, I still need acid, vacuum and disruption to finish the list, so please let me know if you've got a suitable weapon to test. I've also emailed the last GM to work on these in the hopes that he'll add acuity and mana flare messaging.

You should check to see if there is any difference between blessed and perma-blessed too.

Good call. Blessed is slightly different than permablessed. As you slide your arrow into your sheath, the sheath glows with an intense white light, which fades slowly.

There's unique messaging for kroderine, not sure if that is dispell flares or specific to kroderine. I'll try to get a copy when I get home later.

edit: Interesting side note...

You remove a feras falchion from in a donation bin.
>put falc in scab
As you slide your falchion into your scabbard, it makes a loud *THUNK*.

edit 2: acid flaring staff, same messaging as fire flares.

You remove a crystal-runed ebonwood staff from on a weapon rack.
>put staf in my scab
You hear a slight sizzling sound as you slide your staff into your scabbard.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that the difference between the messages is 'holy water' flares, not bless vs perma bless.

Yeah, acid is definitely giving the same message as fire. Feras uses a script instead of normal flares, so I'm not surprised it doesn't register. That's probably a good point about the holy water flares vs permabless. Which do you think is which?

Still need vacuum flares.

Intense light is what I get with my holy water flaring permabless hammer.

Couple things

I may need to double check, but isnt fire- sizzling and acid is slight sizzling?

Couple other items that register as nothing include snake poison flares, knockout flares, bubble flares, an item being sancted.

Items to check on still:

web flares
immolation flares
greater elemental flares(probably same as the elemtn, but still)
dispel flares
bind flares
briar flares
mechanical flares
defender weapons
poison flares- temp or permanent
isnt there some kind of reverse double hit flares?
banshee flares?
coraesine(air) flares

just some suggestions

None of those flares you listed will work. They're all scripts and do not occupy the standard flare slot.

Well that sucks, though I would have thought same for unbalance flares. Dont know why poison or knockout would be any different. Anywho.

Oh your missing msg, for vaacum flares:

A faint rushing of air hisses out of your sheath as you slide your pick into it.

Defender, Mech, and Bubble flares have the THUNK for normal weapons.
