Friends,

What's the procedure for a paladin to unbond with a weapon? I want to unbond, so I can sell the weapon, and I want to be careful.

Thanks,
-LizardClan1

Just bond to something else. When you cast at the new weapon it will break the old bond.

thats for warriors i think. But for paladins I think you could just prep the bonding spell and channel it twice instead of casting it at the weapon

It also works for paladins. Helsfeld wanted me to try bonding to my bandolier and I could just cast the spell over and and over again changing the bond.

That must be new because before you had to channel 1625 at the bonded weapon twice to break it before bonding to a new weapon.

You trace a simple symbol as you reverently call on your patron in the prayer for Sanctify...
Your spell is ready.
>
You gesture at a long-shafted rolaren javelin.
You feel a sense of hesitation as you cast, causing your spell to misfire. You recall that you have already bonded yourself to another weapon at some time in the past. You focus yourself and prepare to break that bond.

(If you want to break your old bond and start afresh with this weapon, please cast the spell at this weapon again within the next 30 seconds.)
Cast Roundtime 3 Seconds.

Definitely newer. Probably because there were a bunch of unuseable bonded weapons laying around,

That messaging has always been in place. It doesn't, or didn't, break the previous bond to allow someone else to use the weapon. It just allows a paladin to start the bonding process on a new weapon. You still have to channel it twice to break the bond for good.

Edit. A friend and I did this to Tsin for a joke. He wasn't happy.

Tendrils of energy begin to flow out of it and wrap themselves around you, as if surrounding you in an ethereal embrace. Your awareness of your surroundings fade as you begin to experience visions of the twin spiked sabar from its moment of creation to the present. After a brief moment, your vision returns to normal.
