Aye it is where I use it the most. They scatter like rats and it stops the swarm. It is particularly nice when you have that pally/warrior there that just won’t die!

I remember when it was made player-safe for a period of time. It allowed wizards to cast it throughout an area, walk around to get a good swarm going, then go home and sit in town while their mind filled up danger-free.

Player safe was no fun. The whole point was the absolute madness that ensued when the clouds hopped around.

Man, I remember so much fun being on both ends of those clouds. I miss some of the danger and recklessness of the bad old days. A little chaos and danger, and yeah...grief...can be a lot of fun.
