Derek Fisher is fighting for an investigation of the unions finances, the rest of the executive committee prodded by hunter has declined and is trying to force him out, fairly ridiculous story all around

Hunter is *corrupt* ... so I hope in the end, Fisher 'wins' and Hunter gets exposed for what he is.

In the meantime, while not necessarily illegal, Hunter's daughter does payroll administration for the union (iirc) and there are other relatives involved aside from the son in the linked article.

It really does seem that Hunter is trying to cover up potential wrong-doings by attempting to have Fisher removed, after blocking Fisher's attempt to have an audit done (Hunter claimed that they already do an internal audit).

It's probably not as bad in a technical sense, but I still think the saddest NBA nepotism is the Bobcats' GM having his kid on the team. Why would you do that to your kid? The worst player on the worst team ever.

I don't get the other union members on the executive committee siding with Hunter and refusing an independent audit, an external audit is never a bad thing when someone calls the finances into question. Hunter has 3 of his kid's either employed by the union or has the union using their companies services, if that isn't strange i don't know what is

The douchebag seems to be finally getting the can... apparently he mislead about his contract not technically being approved for that matter as well.

Kudos to Fisher for getting rid some of the corruption in the NBA.

Too bad the whole story there is mirrored in some fashion among other affluent unions.
