On January 9, 2012, NCsoft filed a civil action in the United States against Bluehole and its U.S. subsidiary En Masse. NCsoft seeks a preliminary and permanent injunction prohibiting the launch of TERA in the United States, or damages for the substantial harm that the launch will cause NCsoft. They assert claims for copyright infringement, trade secret misappropriation, breach of confidence, unfair competition, and unjust enrichment under the laws of the state of New York.
Hmmm... Wonder if it'll actually launch on the 1st.

When I seen it, it looked pretty good. Everything is essentially a 'skill shot'.

It'll launch. The game is fucking amazing. I went into it just wanting to waste some time now I'm foaming at the mouth waiting to play.

Yeah, I played the beta, and I kinda sort want to play it, but my reasons for not playing it:
1) I don't need a second monthly fee, and I'm not yet giving up on WoW
2) I didn't know anyone else playing it til now.
It's beautiful, and the combat is amazing.
Here's the wierd part. The questing is almost exactly the same as WoW (kill 10 x, collect 10 y). It may even be a bit more grindy, considering its Korean origins. But I have yet to be bored in a starting area because every move is skill-based and not just mindlessly spamming a button. I levelled like, 5 classes in the betas, and all of them have the same starting area, and I WAS NOT BORED. In fact, I was entertained.

I think it's a combination of the skill based bad ass combat AND the leveling just goes by so damn quick. They put a bunch of stuff in the same area and you just slaughter everything. Literally every quest is like, go kill 10 of this and 20 of this but the combat is just so good it never gets old. The ZAM/Wowhead gang will be on Dragonfall if anyone wants to join us. I tried to convince them to do PvP but they opted for PvE.
They also did an incredible job with some of the monsters. The graphics, animations, and skills they use are truly amazing. Every second you feel like you're against something truly epic.

Have a 32 warrior on Arachnaea server. It's fun, different, and I don't get bored of grinding the mobs for quests, or BAMs. The dungeons so far are quick and fun. Can't wait to play again when the servers come back up.
