That gas is overrated. I used Dark Catalyst exclusively in the Bowels from 78-89 and the gas effect contributed to MAYBE 4 deaths total in that span. It's a lot more rare than people think. A pure will die to Stone Fist 10x more times in the Bowels than gas.

45k to recharge? How many charges does it have? I was under them impression that Self-Knowledge meant Self-Mana, so you didn't have a number of charges, it's just mana based.

They have a lot of charges originally, they lose charges like normal enhancives, as long as you have charges you can cast the spell like any spell you normally learn (single mana, none of the other self-mana things), and they also lose charges really fast if you use them to make imbedded items with 420.
