I'm having a bit of a problem with my laptop that just switched over to MS explorer 9. The forums do not indicate any new posts when the "new posts" button is clicked, in spite of the fact that there are new posts. Any suggestions other than the obligatory "don't use MS Explorer 09?"

Use a Mac.

PS. Use something other than MS Explorer 09.

I use Firefox to view the forums.

... Who calls it "MS Explorer 09".

It's not a year, it's a version, and it's Internet Explorer. Explorer generally refers to your desktop folder "browser".

Anyway I've used IE9 on these forums and it actually loads faster than Chrome does (although I still typically use Chrome here). I've had no problem with the new posts button not responding due to being opened in IE vs Chrome.

I have however had issues with the new post not updating in Chrome (again not browser specific), these forums have some quirks and sometimes that shit just doesn't update right, refreshing sometimes helps.

My MS Explorer 09 doesn't work well with the forum either. I ended up switching to Maxthon just for this site.

Try deleting cookies. If that does not work try deleting MS Explorer 09 and installing Firefox.

Deleting cookies didn't work. Hmm. I'll tinker a bit more. it's a work machine, so I don't really want to be loading a bunch of added browsers if I don't have to, though I own the company so no one can give me too much shit for it other than myself. There is that.

Just switch over to firefox or chrome. You'll be happier.

YOU SHOULD BE AT THE TWINS GAME.

Or not I guess, if you don't want to commit suicide. I really need to stop spending my life watching these games, they look real bad.

Stop chiding me, I'm starting to chafe!

Someone make a suggestion that doesn't require me to change browsers?

Yeah, they're off to a rip roaring start. Honestly the lineup doesn't look horrible, but performance so far certainly is. I'll give 'em a few more games.

Run in in compatibility mode, apparently IE9 isn't supported by Vbulletin 3.6.

As Latrin said:

er, he said:

My bad, but if do=getnew works for you that's fine too, but getdaily might work better, I've had times where I click "new posts" and then forget, do something, and then I can't view the multiple pages of posts because they're no longer new.
