It will probably end up being ass anyway, just reaffirming that Hollywood will always take a wonderful thing and turn it into shit in an effort to generate more cash. I hope I'm wrong, but history leads me to believe I won't be.

Agreed. It's like saying "Hey let's remake Labyrinth, but not actually have it take place in a Labyrinth. Let's do it on a boat. Yeah, a boat. A big boat with pirates and shit."

But the trailer still doesn't look terrible.

I'm hoping it's still a lot about mars, but that they're avoiding showing any of it in the previews because they want it to be totally badass when the movie happens.

I hate this, I hate that I actually have hope that movie studios would not give away/ruin their own movie with a preview. They do, all the fucking time.
