View Full Version : For Xcalibur...a few questions.

I posted this in another thread but felt it was deserving of it's own.
Out of sheer curiousity...X, in all honesty, tell me...what do you think of yourself, really.
Do you think you're intellegent? Do you think you're handsome? Do you think you have common sense? Do you think you're a good husband? Do you think you're a good person in general?
Just a legitimate question. Seeing as you're so quick to judge pretty much EVERYTHING around you, I'm curious as to how you judge yourself.

Edit: Edited just because It was a legitimate question. but I can't wait for his reply.

He can't possibly think he's a good husband.

Yeah honestly, your knowledge of him comes from a few posts on this stupid message board, how can you possibly come to the conclusion that isn't a good husband from that?

Lord liftin' Jesus, I agree with Irispuke on something. World's gonna end next I know.

Around 5000 posts is a lot more than "a few." Especially considering what some of them contain about "his views" on women, sex and relationships. That's where she gets that opinion... even though most of the shit he says is probably just an act (otherwise, who the fuck would marry & procreate with him).
Hulkein
06-23-2004, 09:55 PM
It's an act.
Plus, I don't think I've ever seen him say women aren't as smart or deserve care and love or anything like that.
He says things about lesbians and bi's and ugliness... but haven't seen anything about other things really.
Iriscience

5 posts 10000 posts, you still can't know shit about anyone based on their posts on lame ass message boards. So you have a basic idea about what his views on several cultural topics might be, big deal.

For some reason, I'm inclined to believe this thread wasn't made out of "genuine curiousity". Weed, if you really cared, you would've asked him via U2U or AIM. This is just a loaded question which will turn into a "let's bash X" thread, please don't pretend it is anything else.
And let's get over it, folks. We ALL judge everyone on these boards. X may do so in a more flamboyant and controversial manner, but the snide little remarks that I've seen EVERY person (even HN) insert into threads are little bits of judgement.

My opinion is based on a few observations and some tiny tidbits of definite knowledge. He can't decide in posts whether to refer to her as his girlfriend or his wife, to begin with. That's just an observation.
Definite knowledge doesn't come from posts he's made on the boards. And anyway, HE knows what he does.

I haven't really seen anything that would be indicative of his real life close relationships. People are much more capable of being mean to strangers online.

Look everybody.. If you're a woman.. and you meet a guy who is absolutely obnoxious and does nothing but put others down and criticize and judge them.. especially women.. Naturally.. you wouldn't think he would make a good husband.
Of course Spungirl would have no idea if he really IS a good husband or not.. but she could only speculate from his actions.. Only his wife would know for sure. I doubt Spungirl would care to find out on her own either. I personally would not blame spungirl for thinking that way.. but I know it does not necessarily mean it's true..
Nobody here has the right to judge others.. and I am sure, at one point or the other.. I.. we all have. With X's case however.. he does it on a constant basis.. not even because there is truth to it.. or that it makes sense.. he does it for controversy and for his entertainment..
I am one of the people X gives the hardest time.. and I certainly hope, he is not like this in real life.. For his wife's sake and for his kids.. because that would be such a miserable life to have.

Well, no big deal.
He can answer, or he can decline.
To get all in a tizzy before then makes little sense.

I don't get why some people got defensive either for what spungirl said.. He has said and assumed far worst than that.
Edit: I suggest weedmage deletes everybody's post and start a new one keeping the initial post and wait for xcalibur
Edit part deux: Apparently, somebody thought I was defending xcalibur and I wasn't. I was just being logical. Although I do hope he would reply to weedmage's posts truthfully.

SpunGirls's opinions/observations are very well founded and frankly, I'm more tired of the threads on Kerry, Bush, Homosexuality, or Iraq than I am about the ones on X.
The title of the thread made it quite clear what this thread was about. If you don't want to read about X, don't click the topic. Just like I always ignore the topics that have "Kerry" or "Bush" in them.

I always ignore the topics that are very clearly stupid. You'll notice I haven't posted in like a billion threads because they're all wicked dumb.
Bring back the good threads, jerks.

::chuckle:: You do realize that just about no one can stand you, right? I'm letting you know because you say things like this like....someone gives a damn what you think.
My reason for this thread is stated in my intial post. Since he always makes it a point to judge everyone and thing, I was curious as to how he judges himself. It's not a U2U or private message because I thought this would be something that many posters might wonder as well, seeing as he's "judged" many people here.
He doesn't have to answer if he doesn't want to. I just think it speaks volumes about him considering his actions and "judgements" of people here.
Anyway, hey..just because you interpret something one way, doesn't mean it is that way. You, yes you, once again don't know what you're talking about. Not that this is something new. I said what I said, you (and anyone else) can take it how you want to take it, I don't care. :saint: In the event that you'd like anyone to ever give a damn about anything you might have to say: When you start making posts that actually contribute to the boards rather than the load of mindless drivel, idiotic insults peppered with crying like a little girl when someone insults you back...then and only then might someone give a damn. ::ponder:: Now that I think about it, nah, it probably won't matter even then. No one will ever give two craps about what you have to say, so nevermind.

Ignorance at it's finest.
I will agree that Canadians have accents. In the Maratimes, we give everything a bit of a twang. No where near what Newfoundland can do though. It does matter where you are from. Rural accents are much stronger than urban. I, however, do say out and about. I have been known to give a good "Go oon wit ya" though.:D

Draw our own conclusions? I'm happy with that. And you're right in this case, X, it's probably pointless to discuss and/or defend yourself.
Your actions have done plenty to make up a lot of people's minds already. Congratulations!

Having lived in Newfoundland for the past year and a half, I can say that they don't say 'oot' here. It's western Canadians, from Manitoba and west. Here in Newfoundland they talk sorta like the Irish Pikies from Snatch, but not as drastic.

I'm from Northern New Jersey originally, and have no frickin' Canadian accent. I spent my college years living in New York City. This place was a culture shock to me when I first moved here.

For currently living in Newfoundland I can testify that Newfies do not say oot and aboot. Rural Newfies do have an accent (yes, Newfies can be educated too!) but it's very unique and very unlike the stereotyped Canadian. They are very close to their Irish heritage and have funny expressions or phrasing but no, no oot here.
They do end (or start) all their sentences with "my love" and it drives me absolutely up the wall. :spaz:
I have yet to hear oot and aboot from native Ontarians as well. I will not fall for the temptation that is to slap it onto a specific province so I'll just stick to what I know.
