Tried re-extracting lich to overwrite everything to no avail. Refresh reboot, killing all ruby processes.

Anyone have any suggestions?

This is what I got by killing lnet and restarting it...

You gesture.
You suddenly feel a lot more powerful.

Well, I traced it to spell-ranks.dat. I wound up blowing away that file and restarting doing a skills full and that seemed to have taken care of the issues.

I'll leave this up here incase anyone runs into a similar situation.
