As you sing, your vision clouds over and a scene unfolds for you. A pair of hands, weathered and strong from long hours at the forge, tirelessly pump air through a huge bellows.
"Flamberge that I hold
Let your purpose now be told"
As you continue to sing, your field of view widens. A sturdy dwarf works at a blazing hot forge. Slowly he turns a thick slab of shimmering metal in the coals until it glows an intense white. Soon he stops pumping the bellows and removes the metal from the fire to begin working it into a weapon.
Roundtime: 7 sec.
You sing happily:
"Flamberge that I hold
Let your magic now be told"
As you continue to sing, you see the dwarven smith place the weapon inside the fire, heating it once again. With carefully placed strokes he finishes shaping the weapon. As he completes the work he drops it into a a barrel of water in an explosion of steam.
Roundtime: 6 sec.
You sing happily:
"Flamberge that I hold
Let your special ability now be told"
You sense that the flamberge is of a time long past. The smith carefully lays the weapon aside and an old dwarf wisened with age takes it up. The old dwarf begins chanting over it in a rough gutteral voice. As you watch, power radiates from his hands and encompasses the weapon. When it is finished, the weapon begins to glow with power.
Roundtime: 8 sec.

first two examples were actually back to back....
requires +50 combined inf/disc bonus otherwise it'll sometimes attack you
if you have 0 combined bonus it will be much more likely to attack you than if you were to have say 49...
the multistrikes go up to 5 as far as Ive seen and the air flares come at the end and there is 1 per extra swing... flares very frequently. My best so far is 3 attacks in a row first two for 5 swings and 3rd for 4 swings... So in the right hands its really devastating
not required to make contact to hit with the air flares... Vathors for instance

Wonder if a paladin could get guiding light with it too.

You were right on this one.
I was just guessing since I know some are only hcw I believe, and with initially no info about it, it was a shot in the dark.
Ya bastige :(
It's just crit weighted I believe.
only crit weighted coraesines that exist are the black coraesine waraxes, unless someone has some sort of fluke or my memory is just fail...
Wonder if a paladin could get guiding light with it too.
I highly doubt it...
oh this one is 3x btw, PP enchantable... surcharge for flares

Only 3x? Aren't most of them 5 or 6x?

Majority of the drops from droughtmans were all 3x the natural enchant of coraesine
the attuning ones are 6x, the old non attuning ones were 5x, anything released in the past 5 years were 3x.... and there are a handful of enchanted ones via PP that you'd have to kill someone irl to get ahold of and/or trade Ardwen's account for, but in all honesty with a weapon like, whats 10-15 AS
requires +50 combined inf/disc bonus otherwise it'll sometimes attack you
if you have 0 combined bonus it will be much more likely to attack you than if you were to have say 49...
For every 1 point below the disc/inf cutoff you have a 2% chance of backflare.
For every 1 point below the disc/inf cutoff you have a 2% chance of backflare.
and I learned something new today... thx for the info
Damn. Not a good Burghal Gnome weapon at all.
Looking for any particular trades or just coin offers?
open to just about anything I guess... not actively trying to get rid of it, I just havent really been using it in the past few months and figured Id throw it out there and see what comes back

I prefer this version that the pure coraesine. It flares constantly and discipline and influence enhansive are cheap and easy to get. Cost to PP enchant is what regular cost is plus 600 extra.
The pure coraesine doesn't seem to double strike flares much.

I've never had a chance to mess with the pures but from the logs I've seen I'd have to agree... And it seems like the pures hold true to the "double" strike instead of this sort that I prefer to say multistrike cause of how often it blows up and swings 3-4-5 times, tho I wouldn't mind being able to throw out call wind and haste from this one... But if that was the case it may as well be attuned cause you'd have to pry it from my cold dead hands
Talking this up has made me decide I dont want to let it go so much, will consider trades but otherwise off the market

Yeah I say you keep it unless you really need the loot. Not often do you come across a coraesine weapon.
