I need some ideas on starting stats for a giantman wizard I have sitting on my account at 5 trains. Thought I'd like to try the polearm route like Anticor does for a change of pace.

Probably not going to go too high with the char but stranger things have happened.

Any examples of stats that'll be fun in the beginning yet not horrible later?

(CON) Constitution 78 100
(STR) Strength 82 100
(DEX) Dexterity 68 100
(AGL) Agility 85 100
(DIS) Discipline 73 100
(AUR) Aura 70 100
(LOG) Logic 70 100
(INT) Intuition 20 85
(WIS) Wisdom 20 73
(INF) Influence 20 73

You got 74 extra points to place em where you want.

Basic training: 1X weapon, perception, cm, pt till max (around 24), miu, arcane, harness power (-1 (so at level 10, have 9 rank in HP), 2x spell.

Get either 2 ranks for full or 15 for double.

Be ready to have one of the strongest hunter over all...

1X 500 till 509 while 1xing for life 400.

at 8, 1x 900 circle till 920 (or 930 if you want).

then catch up for 500 till 520, then let 500 rot away and keep 400 and 900 as your 2 main circles.

Get some more opinions before trying anything. It helps to get current information from people who actually play.

Get that path and you'll become 45 without even sweating.

of course, 0-10 rats, 11-15 ogres, 16-20 cats and rats, 21-24 cyclops and 25-45 kiramons.

Heh, people are still using weapons as pures?
:banghead:

Rapid Fire COL pwns. I can fry in 6-9 seconds if I hit a decent swarm.

X is still using a weapon as a pure. Haven't heard from anyone else.

Eh.... Anticor is too, and the mage archer that I forgot his name too as many many many.

Of course 506 is simply a too good spell.

And I made some calculation on another thread about a war mage's AS vs squares.

Most of the time, a war mage is JUST a bit lower but he swings 2.5 times faster.

I'll post my starting stats when I get home. And for the most part I agree with X on this subject. My training looks like that but I might be doing more 500s haven't really decided yet.

after 509, 500 circle is crap beside 520 for a war mage. (and even, 500 is only good IF you get hit and haste make you too fast to be hit)

And after 425, you don't get your level's cap for 425 if you go beyond your level, so it's free AS point AND that make 415 simply too strong too.

At 60, I'd be

20 in 500
60 in 400
42 in 900

Six years ago, I could see the reason behind being a warmage. Heck, even I had a post-legend giantkin warmage, and Tedra was as badass as they got. With all the setbacks since then, I just can't justify using a weapon over a staff. You lose so much more than you gain, and it's only going to get harder.

Above 70, I can only agree (since I never been there).

So, until someone here go to high lord, we'll find something for him.

Thanks, both of you. Stats were basically exactly the same as what I'd come up with.

Anticor put his extra points into influence, I'd advise you to put them into intuition. Every percentage of evading an attack is more helpful to getting a few more coins every time you sell your stuff:)

Remember that 911 gives dodging rank, so I can only presume high intuition help it even better.

p.s. Swinging at 2 seconds per is your friend.

Linoge and I are both warmages and swing twohanders, he a claidh, and me a 4x VHC greataxe, also i think the archer your talking about is Kylinarr, as well as Whirlin, i'm having a little halfing girl that asked me to help her set up a warmage path, she wanted to start out with shield and blade but i told her about Anticor and naginatas, and that entertained her interest. I'm not sure if a halfing warmage would work out, but hey its something fun to work with and she's still under her 30 days so no worries about skills movement.
