How does it work? . . . with regard to the 'critical resistance' described on the website and Krakii. I can find no explanation.

Anyone?

Supposedly it adds crit padding.

From KP's crit padding article...

"Characters have natural critical padding derived from CON bonus. GILCHRISTR's research indicates that 1 potential phantom damage is removed for each 4 bonus. "

I have no idea how accurate that statement is. Or who Gilchristr is. Or if anybody knows more about his research. Good luck.

GILCHRISTR was a person who posted research on the play.net forums.

Did anyone save Gilchristr's posts/research?

If that's accurate, and if natural padding stacks with armor/sigil padding....

Between having HCP armor, sigil major protection, and 35 CON bonus my ranger should have around 30 points of crit padding.

my sorcerer noticed a *considerable* difference to hits when he took a fixstat and moved his capped CON from a 60 (bonus 0) to 100 (bonus 20?).

I'm sure it is similar or identical mechanics to the way DEX adds to natural crit weighting. What that formula is, I have no idea.

How does posi-traction work? I don't man, it just does.
