Just two days ago Cupcake, Dauker, and Ben showed up to do some alters, lightens, sonic stuff, etc.. I got a half dozen alters that day in about an hour and a half.

Today Dauker showed up and did several rounds of alters and stuff before someone got him to do an enchant, then he just handed them out. I took Beelzebub's leathers from 7x to 10x, and Mofuggah's from 8x to 10x. Pretty friggin sweet for a single gm visit. Also got a few alters.

Wyrom showed up and invaded us with some chickens and terriers. I didn't get any loot off em, but I got +5 TD added to armor on both my guys. Woot.

My sorc participated in both invasions (Teras, and Illistim) and got... a diamond! Afterwards, when Wyrom did work, I had slash/puncture/crush resistance added to my Adamantine MBP. HORRAY!

OH, yea, Wyrom hooked my sorc up with a nice RPA for coming cross-realms. I'm not sure if it's the same as everyone else got, but I don't think anyone else had Wyrom dose em with exp saturation like my sorc got.

I think I realize why it was such a problem for me. I'm a perfectionist, and I HAD To have all the best gear I possibly had. What I didn't realize was when (especially as Leland) I already had a ton of great shit gear. I didn't appreciate it though! I always wanted more. It was this always wanting more/not apprecetinag what I had, that made me always glued to the computer screen at merchant festivals or pay events. In reality, it didn't mean shit. It's just a game, (maybe NOT SERIOUS BIZ?!) and although Tillmen would say "This is an outrage!" it was no outrage. It was me overreacting, when I should've appreciated what I had.

I was a jerk at times, should've kept more promises. I regret that, but that's the past, the future's not come, and all I do is focus on now.

I remember Sheikh well. He's the one that was tough on me and told me I was being a pussy and wasn't ready yet if I couldn't accept his offer. He was giving me a chance to move on with my life, and I almost couldn't accept it. I was addicted. And when I didn't have GS, it was some other addiction. I got addicted to weight loss, lost 101 lbs. I got addicted to my work at this magic company I work for now. I got addicted to my magic before that, working my damn ass off 3 to 6 hours practicing everyday (while I was playing GS, and when I wasn't). Trying to work more on showmanship now.

So yeah, at droughtmans honestly IRL money didn't mean a damn thing to me, GS items , especially those rare ones, were more reality to me than GS cash. With the Kayous crisis, I kinda lost it. I'm thinking seriously I might be able to come back in a year or so once I get my shit together, once I realize the root problem. I think I'm on the right track. Or , perhaps I should never come back - that might be more wise.

I can always try again in a year and quit..
