I have decided to put this up for auction due to the limited play time I will be having over the next several weeks possibly the next year. I have received numerous PM's asking if I would sell it and rather than it not be used I am willing to part with it for the right price. I will be asking 40m minimum and 60m buyout. I am not in need of selling it so I am asking for what I would be willing to part with it for. If you do choose to bid on this please post your bid I would rather not accept private bids.

40m to wizgem3 sold pending delivery

You carefully inspect your serrated laen claidhmore.

After a careful inspection you determine that a xenium hilted serrated laen claidhmore requires skill in twohanded weapons to use effectively. It appears to be a modified twohanded sword.

It looks like this item has been mainly crafted out of glaes.

You assess the claidhmore for structural weaknesses and strengths.

Careful examination indicates the serrated laen claidhmore has a base strength of 75 and a base durability of 200. You also determine the current integrity of the serrated laen claidhmore to be at 100.0%.

You heft the weapon a few times...but note nothing unusual about it. It appears to have standard claidhmore weighting (fantastic) to cause critical wounds.

weighs 15lbs

is this better than a claid since its a two-handed sword?

Better AvD's and damage factors than a claid while retaining the same amount of weighting:

it also allows for one weapon specialization for greatswords and use of a blessable weapon instead of needing two.

Yeah, but it loses the AvD bonus in the negative to AS.

You're only losing out on 10 AS.

Yeah and the difference between a claidh base and a Twohanded Sword is 10 AvD. You really don't lose anything.

Pretty much. Now only if Cinabar would sell me her old style claid..

Well you lose some DS. But it's a trivial amount.

old style claidhmores > newstyle just because of the perks in weapon specialization.

Better DF.

Claidhmore, new-style DF .625 .475 .500 .350 .225 8 5 Slash/Crush 75/200
AvD 31 35 34 33 32 34 32 30 28 38 34 30 26 37 31 25 19
Claidhmore, old-style DF .625 .500 .500 .350 .275 8 5 Slash/Crush 75/200
AvD 41 45 44 43 42 44 42 40 38 48 44 40 36 47 41 35 29

great weapon here.

I'd rather buy a cheaper new style claid and use the millions saved and buy some enhancives or something.

I feel exactly the same way. This weapon is just cool to look at, though. I picked up a +12 strength helm though so that will have to do with the newstyle 3x claid I have now.

Question: Do oldstyle claids have more weighting?

Answer: no

(thanks)

i like old styles simply so you can wpec in them (two handed swords) and have a blessable for undead hunting without a wspec2

exactly, how many millions would people be spending if you could buy a free wspec w/o having to train in extra CM
