? on attuning cloak

I have a ? about an attuning cloak.

I try to raise it to unattune it but "Nothing happens" when I do that, even when I attempt it twice in-a-row.

When I wear it, it webs me and poisons me.

What should I do? trash it, or assist it, perhaps?

Sounds like whoever owned it before you, never unattuned it.

If you know who owned it before you, get them to 'raise' it twice to break attunement, then give it back to you. If you don't know who owned it before you, you may as well trash it.

I know they used to tell you "tough shit" and that it is working as intended.

Well that is the intended purpose of attunement. No one else will ever be able to use the cloak unless the owner intentionally gives it up.

A GM reset the attunement on my cloak for me
