The Volcano on Teras Isle has come to life violently again! Damage from globules of lava has been confined to areas around the statue in Kharam-Dzu. All those on the Isle are urged to keep an eye to the sky and an ear to the ground...two of each if you can spare them.

I for one am happy about this. Back in the day when i was still relatively new to the game I used to see people covered in soot and ash and wonder what it was like on teras. Now that I am there its nice to see things that I used to want to be able to do at my fingertips now.

I never liked the whole soot and ash thing. I don't get the reason for this particular change. It seems done solely because people there don't like people to sit at that statue for a long time, assuming they are afk.

Such is life on a volcanic island. I think it's cool that they're putting even more danger on that isle. It shouldn't be easy and it shouldn't be the place to lounge. Personally I think there should be possible danger in all towns.

I actually liked the soot and ash thing.. but the fact that the only place on the isle that the globs of lava come down is near the statue? Come on.. at LEAST try to make it incharacter. Great.. so you make it dangerous in that one room... most folks will simply go zombie in another room with a node (garden).

Tons of stuff give ash related messaging. Shake head, sneeze, gag, bounce, jump, exhale <item character is wearing covered in ash>, etc.
