My rogue uses two weapon combat. It's a cheap skill and you don't even need to double it now(I do). I don't care much for multi-opp because it's too expensive and largely unneeded for me now. Two flaring daggers and yer set for life.

Drektor has a good point. Eugenides is a mid to upper train Rogue who does quite well with two daggers.

No longer need to fully double train in a TWC?

<tryed a two weapon combat rogue before? and what do people think of multi-oppenant skill?>

Yes. In fact, Thraak used to be a pretty kickass TWC rogue. Not sure if he still is, but it's do-able. One question though...where the fuck did you learn to spell? My apologies, and condolences, if you are foreign like X.

<No longer need to fully double train in a TWC?>

They made a change a month or so back to make it viable for single trainers to hunt with their offhand when not fully trained. They basically closed the gap between doublers and singlers.

Blazing, Could you tell me how close the gap is now?

For example, a while ago I tried TWC Rogue, I had to double and just say as an example he had a 257 AS with his right hand, and I had to fully double to get the left hand to 257.

If I were to single now with the changes, do you know what the AS with the offhand would be? A certain percentage?

Seems to be about -20 to -30 plus a 10 to 20% chance of not being able to swing at all.

If you are hard up for points maybe 1.5x it.

I was thinking about making a TWC MOP Rogue. Training up to 30 ranks of multi over 50 trains. That would be a lot of fun; swinging a dagger at an oppenent 4 times.

3/5 of your offhand AS comes from TWC and 2/5 comes from the weapon skill.

Or switch those around, I forget which it was.

Yeah, Thraak was one of the very few people who actually trained in TWC loooong ago. Him, Aurach, and Lauranathalasa were the oldest before it became cool. It's definitely viable now for any swinging profession, be it warrior, bard, rogue, or ranger.

I got to 22 once wielding two weapons as a rogue. I recycled the character when I died 10 times in one day.

MOC is good if you just get 5 ranks of it..enough that you swing on two critters with a reasonable RT. past that is over kill in my opinion.

<Lauranathalasa>

Thanks for making me vomit into my mouth, SP.

My rogue double brawls. It's the funnest path for me. I love it.

I agree, 5 MOC is good enough if you plan to do most anything else. My rogue is an OHE user, 3x in pick/disarm. She's a good ambusher, a good sword swinger, and a good picker. She's also quite cute.

Yes I think I am going to just go ahead and do multi-opponent combat when I figure more how to work training points out.

Oops also I was wondering does multi-opponent work with ambushers and does it work well?

It's only use for ambushers, that I say, is to help in a swarm or if you swing hard enough stun 2 critters at once, lending time for ambush.
