View Full Version : Blink Weapons and Enchanting

Asked this on the officials, but wanted to get a more educated opinion:

Has anyone ever tried to enchant blink weapons? Since they are blessable, and the blink part comes from a script, rather than the weighting slot, it stands to reason that they might be enchantable.

Also, I have been told (second hand, but a reliable source) that blink weapons are able to be weighted. That is, a GM checked, and there was nothing mechanically (in the code) stopping a blink weapon from also having crit weighting; said GM was even willing to put crit weighting (HCP) on a blink weapon, if the person who asked him won a weighting certificate in a an event. That was second hand information, as I said, but from a reliable source.

If my pocket wizard was not in the middle of a major enchant, I might have him try on the blink weapon I have, or at least pour a temper potion on it, and then sarmoc to untemper it, just to see. For SCIENCE, of course.

Anyone have any more information, or ever tried to do such?

Even if it's possible, would you really want to risk a failure on a weapon worth so much?

Try with points.

Points are usable, I took my mace to 6x that way.

For SCIENCE!

You're right, even 3% failure is probably too much, but I am curious.
