So I figure that I'll take advantage of that 10k, faster trip to Teras and see if I can hunt things there that aren't cyclops. Turns out the answer is a resounding no, and I should be beaten about the head and shoulders for considering it.

Also, is this some kind of record?

Try the Lake in Solhaven. I think that's where I hunted till like level 30 or something.

That and gargoyles in Darkstone, but apparently rogues suck against gargoyles now...

Aone? Is that a joke, or is your character really named after my favorite Steak Sauce?

I like the italicized comments Aone. Those last couple of hits got you like a sledgehammer... or else that woulda been pretty cool to have survived.

I thought I was going to get lucky, when the troll started attacking the beetle. Then the jungle troll ran in and screwed everything up.

My rogue was hunting the gargoyles in Darkstone. He made some great money for about 3 days. But then two other people started hunting there and all of a sudden the Gargoyles were poorer then War Trolls again.

<My rogue was hunting the gargoyles in Darkstone. He made some great money for about 3 days. But then two other people started hunting there and all of a sudden the Gargoyles were poorer then War Trolls again.>

This is mostly the reason why I've liquidated my entire Gemstone inventory, including characters. It started with a crappy treasure system fix many years back, which I worked around with skinning. Then they fucked up skinning, and I don't want to be "that guy" that makes every area poor by strip mining it. None of this would be a problem if OTF wasn't piss fucking poor and the ONLY option for us capped characters. I can deal with most changes, but these few single-handedly ruined the game for me.

Sorry for the tangent, didn't mean to hijack the thread- this just struck a very tender nerve for me.

I'm with Blazing on this one. OTF is the fucking ghetto.

Don't feel bad, the same thing happened to me as soon as I tried the Greymist. Seriously not even on the island for like three minutes--and then I died again, and then again...finally I've gotten the swing of things and will train by tonight.

(concerning treasure)
Same with Anwyn. I would underhunt there a few months back because it was richer than Darkstone... then I told a single person about it, who decided to script there every hour of every day.. One day, I got about 4 diamonds and an emerald or two on 5 hunts. The next, i got 3 topazes on 5 hunts. It's shit.

Teras is much the same.. It used to be somewhat rich in Kiramon there, but since they changed the ticket prices from 50k to 10k for this damn event, they are poor as hell.

But I hate having to suddenly change hunting grounds without thinking first.. or else the same may happen to me as happened to Artha.

I don't know what you guys are doing wrong in OTF. Tsin's making 2 or 3 million a day there easily, and I've seen Soulpieced haul in like 100k-200k in gems alone off of one or two hunting trips.

I actually ran away after that. I'm back in the civilized lands where I can hunt without dieing in less than 60 seconds.

not really babysit

the beetles also immune to bone shatter so someone that is already hunting in the area to finish them off is always nice

teras is poor as hell now. a few days ago I went out and filled up a cloak, pack, shoulder tote and a disk with boxes in greymist. I went hunting there again for about the same length of time and came back with 1 box.

I think I'm going to send Wraith to Teras just because I've never been there with any of my characters.
