Title says it all, really. It weighs six and could be further lightened.

Oh, also, it's super cute, so you'd almost certainly need to get it altered before using it.

a vaalorn-capped ebonwood sledgehammer with braided purple tassles dangling from the haft

CB: 15 mil to Rolis going twice.

a black ash mattock...it should be anyway

I'll bid 5 mil

Kaerika

It was a massive marble sledgehammer with a really ugly show.

(OOC) Dreaer's player whispers, "Checking out the sledgehammer, it looks like it is expertly weighted to inflict more damage."

Edit: Well, that's what it was when it fell into my hands. Not sure before that.

I have an 8mil bid from someone who'd like to remain private.

Helsfeld
02-22-2012, 05:41 PM
ya don't know why ANYONE ever takes private bids its a great way to win a item if the seller is stupid enough to accept the situation.... Good job private bidder I'm out

Kaerika
02-22-2012, 05:47 PM
I'm happy to get 8 for it, and he requested to be private.

I'm aware that such a bid might end the auction, just like I was aware that giving the hammer such a girly alter would hurt the value. I accept these things; that doesn't make me stupid. I'm terribly sorry it's offended you so, though.

Does it add 30 damage to every hit?

Kaerika
02-22-2012, 06:03 PM
No, damage weighting works like:

http://www.krakiipedia.org/wiki/Damage_weighting

"Damage weighting is variable from 1 damage added to the maximum the weapon is weighted, a weapon with 40 points of damage weighting will add somewhere between 1 to 40 damage to the resolution of each successful attack."

If it is one of the black ash mattocks, those things are sweet. Used one for a while years ago. Good luck on the sale Kaerika!

Those are +18 and mattocks aren't mauls, right? This weapon has me stumped.

I've seen this weapon before.

a massive marble sledgehammer (http://www.gsauctions.com/itemdetails.asp?auctionid=AA66205E31F84531AB008B53 E246C9E7)
Price: 14,000,000 or $126.00
Stats: +18 maul based Expertly (Previous scale was incredibly) damage weighted. Weighs 8lbs.
Show: The beveled head of this oversized sledgehammer is made from a single piece of gold-veined white marble expertly sculpted into a fearsome weapon. Saramar runes completely cover the head, and a pair of crossed battle hammers in crimson glaes has been placed on each side of the weapon. The sturdy haft is an octogonal piece of ironwood which has been banded with crimson glaes and capped with a gold pommel. You also notice a small enchanter's glyph.

So either this maul is +18 and the black ash mattocks were actually maul based or it's a completely different weapon altogether...

Completely different weapon here.

Battlerager

possibly it could have been a black ash mattock that was altered to a sledgehammer before the maul weapon base was released, then changed in that weapon chamber which converted weapon bases by their names?

Yeah, this is the one. Maybe it's +18 afterall. Thought it was +17 for some reason.

I got a PM bid from Sabreon for 10 mil.

The original alteration was cool as hell. You just had to put some tassels on it huh?

Haha, wait til you see what I do with the one you sold me.

At least they aren't pink tassles. Didn't the Roman praetorians wear some purple?

Yes. Purple (or indigo) was a very popular color among Romans and Greeks as it signified loyalty. It was also a color associated with high social standing as the dye was very expensive. If you saw a unit with a lot of purple, they were probably a more elite unit.

That being said, I'll bid 10m out of curiosity.

Sorry, it was at the bottom of one of my other posts and you must've missed it. Sabreon sent a PM that he bids 10mil.

When a Roman Emperor used to come into power they'd say he "took the purple". They are the reason purple became associated with Kings and royalty. Before that Roman senators would wear togas with a strip or two of purple.

Sorry, I am a drunk history major with a love of all things Roman.
