The wife of Mike Fincke, the astronaut in the Space Station right now, had a baby today. I just heard (over the NASA Space-to-Ground loop) Mike give the Russian guy up there a bubble gum cigar and pink jelly beans (the baby was a girl). Apparently they did it on camera in one of the space Labs, but I wasn't in Mission Control at the time so I couldn't see it. Mike had this whole speech thanking MCC-H and MCC-M (Mission Control Center Houston and Moscow, respectively).
It just struck me as neat that I was one of the FIRST EVAR to hear this announcement and to hear the astronaut make his speech and stuff.
Ok anyway. Back to work.

I wonder who gets the blue jelly beans? I mean, they have to have them up there. It's not like they can run out to the store.
Was it his first?

That is pretty cool... though it must be rough not being there, for both parents.
