Okay, how do I get around this:

I'm guessing I need to somehow fool YouTube into thinking that I am in Denmark. Is there an easy way to do this?

VPN

I'm assuming VPN stand for Virtual Private Network, but that is the extent of my understanding of your response. I'm look for more of a "You need to..." kind of thing.

Assume ignorance of the process and if it is going to take more than 5 minutes to do I'm not that interested. I'd like to see the video, but I'm not nerd-raged enough about it being blocked to devote much time to the workaround effort.

Couldn't you google search for proxy servers in Denmark then go to the page through one of those?

Just gave that a shot. It will load the page, but it still shows the YouTube imbed as blocked (image in first post). Annoying. I own the album too, not like I'm trying to rip the video to MP3.

Using a VPN client or searching for Danish proxies is just ... wrong. Didn't know you were ripping, but there has to be (or rather are, I just haven't devoted any time to remembering them) websites for video (edit: emphasis = audio) that are way more friendly and automatically work around the copyright for you.

http://www.proxfree.com/youtube-proxy.php

ProxFree is a simple and completely free web proxy service. We have worked hard to get the best YouTube compatibility of any web proxy! Unblock any YouTube videos in your country now.

Maybe this?

I just want to watch the video, I have not seen it since I was in college.

Maybe this?

It has defeated me as well. My Nerd Rage quotient has gone up now. Focusing.

I'm not paying for a VPN software/service package just so I can watch a 3 minute video. Thanks though.

Well, after many attempts this URL

https://www.infinitebypass.com/browse.php?u=Oi8vd3d3LmQtYS1kLmRrL3ZpZGVvLzQwL2ppa GFkXw%3D%3D&b=5&f=norefer

produced a different message. Now instead of the copyright thingy the YouTube window says "An error occurred, please try again later."

Okay, I found a German website that is much like YouTube where I was able to locate the video. The thing is, after all this time and effort, once I got access to the video it was nowhere near as good as I remembered it. And by that I mean it totally sucked. I can't believe I used to listen to this crap.

Hours of my life I will never get back.

If anyone has similar issues in the future with blocked YouTube content, try this site: http://www.myvideo.de

Ahem...

Ack, sorry DD, read that over too quickly and not closely enough. MyVideo sounds ... familiar. It might've been what I looked at last time when I was encountering similar overprotective measures.
