Alright, let's say I have a cord running out of Xbox 360 that looks something like this:

If I decide to attach video to a VGA port on a screen; and, separately (but still using the HD AV cable connected to my 360, run audio through some kind of mini RCA to my set [has port]), will this completely ruin 1080 capability? Sound is pretty important to me too.

Now, if there's any specific VGA-component cables and/or mini-RCA brands and makes that you guys think work very well, lemme hear it.

Basically, I'm trying to save as many HDMI ports as possible on a new screen. Thanks folks.

Edit: Even more specifically, for the 360 HD AV what might be some specific issues/tips on hardwiring or are things pretty standard regarding audio and visual like they'd be for a cable box/Blu-Ray/etc.?

That should answer your question. As far as I can see is it will effect your sound a little, but you'll see a bigger difference on 1080, your particular cable only supports to 480. HDMI will be better in your case.

Alright. It'll still be 480, but a little bit more smooth. Going to have to do some spacial relations and figure out what to sacrifice.

Cool. Thanks.
