malachite-set gold earcuff

As you sing, you feel a faint resonating vibration from the gold earcuff in your hand...

The magical strength of this item is strong. It could probably handle the imbedding of an entirely new spell, if handled with care.

The earcuff resonates with your voice, indicating that it enhances its owner in the following ways:
It is a magical item which could be imbedded with a spell.
It provides a bonus of 6 to Spell Aiming Bonus.
This enhancement may not be used by adventurers who have not trained 21 times.
It provides a bonus of 8 to Arcane Symbols Bonus.
This enhancement may not be used by adventurers who have not trained 48 times.
The earcuff looks to have a lot of charges remaining.

You sense that the gold earcuff will crumble into dust after its last enhancive charge has been expended.

You sense that the gold earcuff will persist after its last magical charge has been expended.

Why is it I end up bidding in auctions being run by douchebag twits?

So I have it at twice, some "private bidder" (obviously a butt pirate) bids, and 18 minutes, with no "once", with no "twice" its just sold, 18 minutes later.

Twice in the past week I've had these dweeb sellers do this, twice. I have the high bid, and in a period of minutes its sold to someone else. Someone too embarrassed to post publicly.

WTF? Why are people getting stupider?

CRB, In all honesty I put 8pm est as the cut off.

Assuming I let it run past 8pm in order to garner that last little bit of money, I'd most likely be considered a douche bag by the bidder who posted prior to the cut off time.

Picking my douche bag poison, I'll go with the one who actually read the entire post.

I don't always check edits, especially late ones. Maybe it was there before, not sure.

Why even dick around with "once" and "twice" if you're just going to have a time limit?

The accepted practice is to always give fair warning, because it is courteous. Some people put time limits up, but usually only if there are no more bids, if you get a bid, you extend the time.

I don't really need your earcuff, I'm quite maxed out, but I thought it'd be a handy backup, so I don't really care that I didn't buy it. I do care that lately people have been failing at auctioning left and right.
