Anyone have any recommendations of critters that are susceptible to bolt at around this training range?
I've been doing arch wights but I've been falling victim to boil earth more than I care to. =(

If you can deal with the somewhat high AS of a cyclops, around 235 I think, they might make a good option and can carry you through until your late 20s. They are very slow, no spells, no maneuvers, and can be stunned. I don't remember what their Bolt DS is but I believe it is low enough. You can find them out by Solhaven.

Zombies near the landing with 904 is also a great option. Squares with a somewhat high AS. Watch out for...disease? too, maybe it's poison.

@moebedda hate to say it, with pures in that 20-30 range, its a real pain mana wise until you fill that gap. I'd suggest Warfarer's w/ a group. They got excellent loot and will carry you to 30. For more excellent loot check out rotting woodsmen and wood wights (they boil) in solhaven. At least if you die, the loot was worth it. On the lower end, I'd check out Thunder Trolls and Wind Witches.
@dszabo - It's disease :P and their AS is pretty retarded for their train in my opinion.
Good luck out there, and try and take the loot you make to invest in max mana rods with bolt spells in them.
GS4Merchant is right on about the woodsmen and wood wights. The boils can be tough and you need a little climbing to get there.
How about the monastery? The lich's and monks have good treasure. Their CS is a little high and they cast fear and silence... maybe some other spells. You will need a little swimming to get there or I probably have a ring set there you can borrow. I think I hunted there from about 20-28.
Personally, I found zombies very tough as a bolt caster.
If you can find someone to charge aqua and gold wands for you, it is very helpful.... especially if you can get them for a good price. It certainly beats getting a few waves out of pawnshop wands. I wasted plenty of silver at the pawnshop before realizing it wasn't worth it for most purchases.

I'd second the recommendation for wood wights. Minor Water works pretty well and you can almost always kill them before they get a spell prepped, and cast.
If they do get a spell prepared, and you're not positive your next bolt spell will kill them through damage attrition, that might be a good time to cast an Elemental Wave instead.
Another good suggestion was wands. If you need a few gold wands charged, let me know, and I'll be glad to help you charge some.

Thanks for the replies. =) I'll give the wood wights and woodsmen a shot. I've been using tonis/minor water combo to pretty good success hopefully it works out there as well.
*EDIT* Are the woodsmen boltable too? or should i be dodging them and go straight for the wights?

Yeah you can bolt the woodsmen.
If you can, charge aqua wands then get them blessed. Best hunting you'll ever have. Take the loot to keep funding your easy hunting. :)

My bolt AS is only about at like 196 right now, do you guys happen to remember the bolt DS's of those mobs? the woodsman/lichs/monks? just wana make sure i'm able to even hit them before trying my luck getting out there.

You can search Krakiipedia for most creatures and find basic information about the AS/DS/TD, etc.

Liches & Monks don't have a bolt DS listed and the Woodsman's bolt DS is listed at 156 which sounds a bit high.

Agreed. Definitely not worth the trouble to go all the way out there to see how it goes. It might even be wise to open up a poll-style thread to form an exploratory committee to really get the ball rolling. Or you could just nominate people from this thread, whatever you think is the most efficient.

Just an update, ever since I got 425 I have been completely owning the monastery. 505 on Liches is a great opener and they are pretty squishy. Monks take a bit longer to kill despite their being a lower train as it takes a few shots of 903 before I take them out.
Their CS is high but focus more on casting stun/fear spells, they rarely ever swing.

One other option that hasn't been listed that I did during my tenure in the 20's was sandstorming fenghai. It's a slower process but you won't find yourself to mana drained (unless they are swarming good) but the hunt is steady and the loot is relatively good... Only drawback is the climb in and out of that hole if you aren't trained.
