The first thing that strikes you about the greaves is the weight, which is about
4 pounds. In your best estimation, it's worth about 1,400,000 silvers.

The greaves resonates with your voice, indicating that it enhances its owner in
the following ways:
It provides a bonus of 4 to Arcane Symbols Ranks.
This enhancement may not be used by adventurers who have not trained 28 times.
It provides a bonus of 5 to Aura Bonus.
This enhancement may not be used by adventurers who have not trained 63 times.
It provides a bonus of 2 to Armor Use Ranks.
This enhancement may not be used by adventurers who have not trained 10 times.
It provides a bonus of 3 to Constitution Bonus.
This enhancement may not be used by adventurers who have not trained 13 times.
The greaves looks to have a lot of charges remaining.

You sense that the vultite leg greaves will persist after its last enhancive
charge has been expended.

MB: 5m

Sure, I will do it when I get home tonight. Can't access GS from work; SO UNFAIR.

They would if you would wear them and get bumped up to the next armor type, sure.

But if you already wear something with leg coverage, then no.

That depends.

They will bump you up in hindrance to whatever class you have of armor that covers your chest, arms, and legs. So reinforced/fulls (whichever is heavier), Studded leather (I think), double chain (god i'm bad at this from memory), and augmented plate (I think). If you're already in Doubles, Brig, Chain Haub, or Full plate, it wont matter. Or the step below that.

Someone will correct me that has access to a chart. I'm at work.

and ya recharge is going to be bonkers on them with those ranks and aura being the most expensive stat.

BriarFox

The other bonuses are pretty low-level. I'd suspect recharge costs are somewhere around 25-30k, which isn't that bad. Also, they're armor, and armor is one of the lower tiers for recharge pricing. Droit's got that chart around here somewhere ...

ya, the armor will help, but I've had some items with just 4 or whatever ranks pass the 100k bp mark.

ranks are ridiculously expensive.

Magic Eight Ball says, "Unsure at this time."

I really haven't played much over the past few months. Training for a half-marathon, teaching at the law school, coaching high school mock trial... all these things are more interesting than GS and take up time I previously used to play. Plus I feel like work is constantly kicking my ass, and I am taking classes for a certification related to my new job.

The current plan is to leave Jules with a 10x tower shield, useable armor, and your old rattle (which I love), cancel the account, and see what happens. I have another account that I will likely leave open and just bring down from premium.

Probably more of an explanation than you wanted.

I actually sold these to her hastily on a 22m buyout last year. I think Fallen was ready to pay more!

coaching high school mock trial...

If you're coaching for any high school in Wisconsin except SUPERIOR HIGH SCHOOL then your team is GOING DOWN.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOM

Superior Mock Trial 4 lyf

(super super double downward thumbs if you coach for Rhinelander, the most evil team in the Badger State)

EDIT: small caveat cause I have no clue if Superior is the dominant mock trial team that we once were (NATIONALS 1999)--the last thing I heard was like 3 years ago our main coach got put in jail for touching little boys. Dude was a fucking nuts mock trial coach though.

Madison West just won regionals last week, with Middleton coming in as runner up and DeForest third. Agree on Rhinelander, but Superior? C'mon! No idea on your Sandusky-type coach, though.

Awesome to get an update on WI mock trialing! Yeah Superior is way up north, we're a small market team. I guess they're not super awesome anymore if you haven't heard of them.

I was just googling to try and find the state results but all I could come up with is the national results and see that Rhinelander repped Wisconsin last year! (but only came in 16th).

If I can totally gank your thread for just a second: we matched up against them in the finals for three years in a row (98-2000) and their lawyers used these tabbed legal pads that in general were a "choose your own adventure" style in which they waited for the possible response of our witness and immediately went to the canned follow-up written on their pad, and then did it for every single question of every single direct/cross, etc. We thought it was transparently awful as our lawyers stood empty-handed and knew their shit front and back, but we lost 2/3 years to this tactic--we used to get pretty pissed, and since we were all ultra-nerds that were in Madison for mock trial state, we definitely had like... 3 cokes on state street to get over our rage.

Anyhow, good times. The only awesome part was that I checked my pictures last year when that one WI supreme court justice attacked that other one and realized that I had a bunch of pictures with rage guy after they heard the finals. Oh WI supreme court.

Anyhow, good luck! Also these greaves are empirically fantastic, and I'd love to cross-examine anyone that feels differently.

Wow, three cokes on State Street, huh? You guys must have been MAD.

Actually, I'll gank my own thread for a minute. We had an "adverse possession" problem this year, which was not as interesting as in other years. Anyway, the team from Madison Memorial was our last competitor in the afternoon, and they were coached by a lawyer I know pretty well, so I was expecting good things.

They were good, but all their witnesses had weird accents and tics (by design, of course). One of the witnesses had submitted an Affidavit that alluded to marital trouble during the relevant 20-year time frame, and so one of our kids asked a question about it. The witness pauses and says (and you have to imagine this in a ridiculously bad southern-style accent), "Well, yep, me and my husband did have some difficulties. We got wind of the fact that we might be first cousins, so we had to stop sleepin' together."

It was so fucking funny I had to leave the courtroom. My co-coach barely held it together. Afterwards I thought, "Gee, should someone have objected to that as an unfair extrapolation?" But no; who would object to a witness impairing her own credibility by implying that she is too dumb to recognize her first cousin before marrying him?

Who is the genius who left this negative rep? You need to take a "how armor works in elanthia" class.

Aura bonuses don't affect wizards the way they do for other pure or semi classes who might be in a certain secret society.

a sorcerer, wizard, or bard may find it useful, anyone may orb it (if they were stupid), and its 1/4 of max in the aura category...a good find but certainly not one i could spend 20 mil on...because I am poor.

if i may hijack here, i've got a shield that gives +5 Aura Bonus AND +6 to Logic Bonus (yes bonus on both, as well as a bit of AGI...) that I would MB at 20 mil...
