Was reading about other folks crafting prefect forging hammers and then selling them. Stated that the hammer would need to be attuned by the new owner.

Could anyone share some information on this process please. Is it a usage over time process...simple action (ie raise twice) or is it even possible at all.

thanks in advance for the info.

Answered my own question it appears;

Attuning a perfect forging-hammer is accomplished in one of two ways;

a. Making the forging-hammer yourself.
b. Purchasing a perfect forging-hammer, then using it until you receive this message;

You feel as if you've become accustomed to the balance and heft of this forging-hammer.

Once you receive this message you are attuned to the perfect forging-hammer and will then make;

A moment of close inspection is all you need to tell that you have done your best work this time (perfect pieces if you want to call them that)

Hope this helps those that wondered themselves.

PS. until attuned you will not make "best' pieces.

Don't want to start a new thread and kinda staying on this subject...

Is there a simple guide to forging weapons 101? I tried searching the forums but the search function especially sucks. If someone can paste a link that would be great.

I know certain professions and races get bonuses to forging. Is it pretty much a necessity to be a warrior to make perfects? Can a giantman bard accomplish this easily?

Thanks in advance for the help.

I found this to be most helpful:
http://www.krakiipedia.org/wiki/Forging

The resource links at the bottom talk about bonus/handicaps professions and races get, but I used the whole post when starting.

Also, when looking at how long this will take there is this thread:
