I need a new television set. As long as it's barely cranking out the lowest tier of 1080 we're cool.

One other thing, what screen is going to have the fewest backlighting elements + way less ribs on the LCD panel? Looking for something that won't really have an element of glare if I hold the sun up to it.

Get LED and win at life. There are a lot of cheaper flat screens though, what size are you trying to get?

For this set I am going to go with a little more than 27". Can't go too big or I have to start moving crap around. I'm looking for something that isn't a premium award for credit card crap, since I'm probably going to use that for ... I don't know, whatever. Something like a cross between Toshiba and Sharp's flat screen models for light adjustment. Not looking for a particularly out-of-this-world refresh rate as opposed to physicial manufacturing that'll prevent any sort of dimming. Help.

Please. Don't make me speak with the Nobel Prize in Television and Beep-y objects Chinese tech. Because ... I'm going to balk out anyway and get someone else to inquire with him for me.

Weird. If that were for the sole purpose of never being hooked up to a compy, how'd you think the horizontal def-boost would fare against ... uh, quad pixel? Not that that's what I'm going for.

That is pretty cheap.. 3D ready and all.. Only 60Hz refresh rate and a little larger than you are wanting.

Criminey. That's pocket change. Somehow I was comparing these on newegg.com and it curbstomped a discounted price range on a screen I was really looking into on overstock.

Good stuff man. Thank you. Er, got a fridge full of rare ales if you're ever around New Haven county.
