There went my evening!

A free flash-based game was recently released where you can play Super Mario Bros. as any of a variety of Nintendo characters, including Samus from Metroid, Mega Man, Link, Simon Belmont or the tank from Blaster Master. Complete with skins and music from various platforms.

Very entertaining and amusing.

I found that the water boards pretty much needed to be played as Mario though, the physics for the rest of them were too wild and unpredictable to make it safe otherwise.

I did pretty decent with the water levels when I played as Samus. Contra dude also did well in the fortresses. Other than that, I tended to stay with Ryu from Ninja Gaiden.

I'm playing SWTOR and keep loading Ninja Gaiden just for the music. Game developers need to go old school with some of the music. I miss the old Nintendo stuff.

Never gonna happen. Most games are made for the kids and teens of today. They demand graphics and things that just simply sound better.
